How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Positive Experience with Dr. Semple
I had a positive experience with Dr. Semple.
I had my surgery in October 2023, and my only regret is not doing it sooner. He was kind, attentive, and even held my hand as I went under anesthesia. He always took the time to answer my questions during follow-ups.
I was an F–I cup (depending on the brand) and now around a full C. My breasts are a nice shape, symmetrical, with smaller, higher-set nipples (no longer looking at the ground—haha). The scars have healed well—still visible but faded. I do notice that the left-side scar extends a bit higher under my armpit, but it’s not a huge deal. I joke that my left side was maybe done by the Fellow who was practicing with Dr. Semple.
I opted for the additional $2,500 liposuction at the sides of my chest/armpits, which I’m grateful for as I was always self-conscious in tank tops. I do notice a slight asymmetry (a little pudgier on my left side), but it’s minor and only noticeable to me. With the $400 OR fee plus $2500 for lipo, my out-of-pocket cost was just over $3,000, with OHIP covering the rest. Surprisingly, my work’s medical expense fund reimbursed me, so if you have any benefits, I recommend submitting a claim just in case!
Healing was an emotional rollercoaster—I was anxious about every bump, asymmetry, puckering and crinkle. Thankfully, Dr. Semple’s team (Angela, I believe?) was great. I could send photos, and he always reassured me things would settle—and he was right.
Immediately after surgery, I felt so much lighter! They removed:
• Right: 400 mL breast tissue + 175 mL axilla
• Left: 420 mL + 150 mL axilla
At first, I panicked that I had NO breasts left. Then, during the swelling phase, I worried they were still too big! They started off super perky (almost too perky), then softened and settled. Since I got used to how perky they were when they were still swollen, I do kinda wish they were a bit perkier now that they have settled, but I assure you they are still WAY perkier than they were pre-reduction, and still not saggy by any means. Expect a range of emotions—too big, too small, too perky, not perky enough. I learned to trust the process, and friends who had reductions said they felt the same way.
Overall, I’m so happy I did this and would 100% recommend Dr. Semple. I’ve seen mixed reviews, but everyone heals differently, and expectations vary. This was my experience—hope it helps! Best of luck!
