Finally Made the BR Decision
Unbelievable Results
Little things that I didn’t know previously. Going over bumps when driving is a bit discomforting. I drive with the strap seatbelt behind me and the lap one normally. Driving is difficult because you can’t use full motion when turning. The surgical cloth like tape I had to wear for 20 days (replacing every 3-5 days) was soooo uncomfortable and a bit painful and at today’s visit, no more tape...YAY. Now for the scar cream which will make them look even better
Something a little funny, from being home for two weeks I would every now and again hold my boobs because the pressure felt soothing. So I had to remember now that I am back at work, don’t hold the boobs. I giggle every time I think of it now.
I did have a bit of a rough weekend. I was in pain I think due to the tape, my arms hurt and I couldn’t move them certain ways because I have been babying them. I look like a dinosaur because I keep holding my arms close to my sides so nothing pulls (which probably wouldn’t happen). My neck was in major pain and my throat was on fire because of allergies (wasn’t strep, I think). I am not used to not being able to do things for myself so I felt crappy. So I cried and cried, got it all out and now feel so much better.
The doctor told me he took out 850cc from one side and 900cc from another, holy smokes artichokes that is ALOT. I am not sure what size I am exactly because the girls are still swollen but we are thinking a very small D. Not bad from a G, YEAP I was a big whopping G.
I am just so excited that I can even wear a sports bra. My shirts look so much better, now that it doesn’t look like I’m wearing a tent. The only thing now is I can see my belly which didn’t tighten up even after doing 200 crunches a day for 20 days before the surgery. Though I think my core is stronger. Lol
I have to learn to be patient and take one day at a time. Move my arms more. I still have to sleep on my back for 2 more weeks which is fine because I sleep with a body pillow and about 5 other pillows. My Pillow Heaven!
Make sure to drink lots of water, stay hydrated.
I would highly recommend Dr Michael Loffredo from Cape & Island Plastic Surgery. The 50 min ride to meet him changed my life.

1 week post-op
I also have to mention that Dr. Loffredo does his procedures at Cape Cod Hospital in MA. The nurses and staff there are totally amazing. Dr. Loffredo‘s staff in his Plymouth office ( the only office I have been to) are super nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend Dr. Loffredo.

4 days left till surgery
I cannot believe just 4 days left till my BR surgery. I am super excited but also terrified. I’m always last minute and the only thing I have done is that I filled my prescriptions and bought a body pillow to sleep with on my recliner. I have been researching this site for about a year and had written down notes on things that I should do before/after but can I find the list, of course not. Ugh! Does anyone have ideas that they would be willing to share. Like what type of bra should I buy to be switched out with the one the hospital gives you? How do you know what size? My house is somewhat clean and my hubby said don’t worry about laundry, he will take care of that.

Good luck with your upcoming surgery! Are you all set for your big day?
