Worst Experience of my Life
Very disappointed with my experience.
It had taken me years to find a surgeon I could trust completely. I thought I found it in this doctor. When I considered migraine surgery, the Covid arrived and my country closed the borders, preventing me from travelling. During this period, the doctor was very pleasant, always attentive, compassionate, patient, always willing to answer my questions. We agreed on everything: the estimate and the procedure. I had only one desire: to go to Barcelona to meet this doctor who I found incredible! During this time, I gave him a lot of publicity to my entourage as well as in groups of which I was a member. He doesn't know it, but he has already received people that I sent to him. I thought this doctor was so amazing, I wanted everyone to know him.
I had a lot of difficulty getting the visa to go to Barcelona, the slowness of the administration. Then, I was finally able to have an appointment for a consultation that I had to cancel because I fell ill.
When everything was back to normal, I resumed an appointment and went to Barcelona.
I would like to point out that for a few days I had been having pain in my foot. I obviously told this to the doctor, who had ignored this information.
Arriving in Barcelona, the foot pain intensified. When I arrived at the consulting room, it was the first thing I said to the doctor, information which he again ignored. I didn't recognize him. I found him very unsympathetic, far from the image I had of him.During the consultation, we disagreed on the areas to be operated on for the migraine. A zone was removed. So I asked him if the price changed, he said no...
So he planned to operate on me the next day. We shake hands and he asks me to join his assistant to pay for the surgery. The assistant, seeing me in pain, calls the surgeon who changes his mind and refuses to operate on me until we know what is causing these pains. I asked him where to go, a hospital? a specialist ? no information to help me.
So I left the consultation disappointed. Not that he doesn't operate on me, but because he knew I had foot pain and he let me come to Barcelona. I spent tens of thousands of euros on this trip: for nothing!
Very disappointed but I told myself that the surgeon is competent so I will treat myself and have the operation. After months, I contact him to discuss the surgery, and ... no more response! he just decided to ignore me! Not a word !
So I wasted time, money for nothing. Because I trusted the wrong surgeon.
For 2/3 years, the time during which my country closed its borders, I kept saying that he was the best surgeon in the world, that he was incredible! Finally it was a decoy.
I find myself at the starting point with a large sum of money less.
If there was the possibility of putting 0 stars, I would not have hesitated.
