I am concerned that my scarring did not heal properly? I had a post op appt scheduled but had to cancel and never rescheduled. My scars have turned to thick keloid scars and I’m wondering if I got botched?

Please contact my office at 415-923-3067 to schedule a follow up. It looks like several of your scars are hypertrophic and would benefit from a review about scar therapy and possible steroid injection. It can take up to 1-2 years for scars to fully mature; genetics play a major role in how you heal. On occasion, we recommend surgical scar revision. We need to see our patients in follow up in person to best assess the most appropriate treatment plan. As you know, I am also available to my patients via my cell phone at all times. Dr. Karen Horton

It is not normal but it can be your genetics and negligence. I am surprised that your dr didn’t check up on you post operation

That's what follow up appts are for. She canceled her appt. Not the doctors job to chase after her.

Clearly you are either the Doctor that performed her procedure or you have a relationship with the Doctor whom performed her procedure, because you are very defensive. Her results would’ve been the same even if she did complete her follow up appointments.

I think this comment is to Jamie not me. Just to update my opinion , I developed exact same thing from 2 months onwards. Did all checks, silicon creams and tapes.... nope.. same result. I will put pictures in my own post..and add what my doctor said. In short it is genetics..

How long has it been? Can you get a scar cream? Also massaging the area? It definitely doesn’t look normal.
