Things were going so well ????

I wrote a post last time to say I’d woken unwell and since then the antibiotics Worked to some extent but not totally so I called the hospital group Exeter 2 days earlier than my planned return check up date of tomorrow 4wks post op. The nurse was so happy with how everything was looking and said to finish the course of Flucloxacillin and she placed an iodine dressing on the infected area ! She said she’d look at it again on Thursday and things would hopefully look better ???? they aren’t the wound is now open and I’m panicking what will happen tomorrow and what they will do next? If anyone has had this happen I’d be grateful of some advice ????

3 wks since my op !

So i woke this morning not feeling well at all! I felt weak and shivery not myself at all and the right breast let totally different to the left
Having breastfed my children I knew what mastitis felt like a burning tingling sensation and this was similar
I made a call to my gp for an emergency appointment which I got luckily early afternoon
The Dr confirmed I have an infection and that the cut under the breast looked very red and sore. I’d taken pics of each breast and the right had a red rash but couldn’t get a good image of underneath!
The doctor took the last image and told me to forward to my care coordinator at the hospital group with an explanation of the drs finding and the details of anti biotics !

Feeling Human and in love with the Girls

So I’m waking this morning I’m day 16 post op. My boobs (girls) are doing great and I had a check up yesterday and had the dressings taken off, everything is healing beautifully and I cannot thank Dr A Seno enough for the amazing work he’s done making the girls look as neat as they do ???? I can finally have a shower
I couldn’t be happier with my results and know that I will only be happier in time when they settle properly.
I still have some tenderness on the sides of the breast and underneath on the stitch-line apart from that im great x x
Still taking co codamol pain relief every 4 hours but that’s out of routine now More than need , will change it to paracetamol as needed today x
I can still feel some dissolvable stitches along the underneath and still have a few around the nipple but everything is as it should.
I’ll update again in a week or so
