Here are some pics of 6 weeks. You can see that my right is a bit wider than the left but they are both still swollen and haven't really fell yeto. I also circled the weird crease on my right, doc says she will be able to remove the excess with an in office procedure. Here is my hole too. One pic is 5 days ago and one pic is today. I think it looks a little smaller....not much. But it's not getting bigger so that's a good thing. Also a pic of the wet to dry packing!

I have finally hit the 6 week mark! I keep hearing that 6 weeks is when things start to go a little faster in the healing department and boy can I see it. The scabs are finally falling off. Still some black scab spots here and there but I am starting to see the pink scar lines around my nipples and verticals. My right horizontal is looking good too. The weird skin fold is still there, Doc says she will likely remove the excess skin after they heal more with an in office procedure.
The little pain I have now is mostly from the liposuction. I am still swollen and numb a bit on my sides. I think they are starting to heal too though because I keep getting painful zingers on my sides. think the nerves are starting to work. They are pretty painful but seem to go right away with some ibuprofen.
The hole on my left side horizontal is still healing. It's hard to tell if it has changed at all. I don't think it is infected. No fever, no odor, soreness but no crazy pain. I continue to do the wet to dry packing 3 times a day. I have also started taking supplements that are supposed to help wound healing. Vitamin C, Bromelain, and grape seed extract. I'll continue to do all this till the wound is healed. Just wish it would hurry up. I am so over this recovery.
Will take some pics in a day or so, Really they look about the same just less scabs.
Now back to watching this dang giraffe!!!!

I am one month post op yesterday. Today I…
I am one month post op yesterday. Today I had a visit to the doctors and everything is looking good, even my hole is not too bad. The doctor told me that I was close to the biggest reduction she ever did. With how low my boobs hung, the amount of skin and stretch marks she had to deal with, she is surprised I didn't have more complications and that I'm healing as well as I am.
Now onto the hole. It's so discouraging to have a complication. It's already a long recovery and now it will be longer because of the hole. I am stressed about infection and for good reason. The whole time I have been in recovery I have also been dealing with uncontrolled asthma. I have been trying to deal with it because I knew that if I went to the doctor they would put me on a steroid and steroids make the body more prone to infection. Well I tried my hardest, but after about 3 days of using my inhaler every 1-2 hours, I knew I had to get some help. So off to the faster care Center and home with my steroid. Sure it will help me breath better but I have so much anxiety about this open wound. The doctor is scared too. So I have to do a wet to dry packing into the wound, changing it 3 times a day. She was going to prescribe an antibiotic just in case but decided to wait until we know if an infection will occur. Right now it's not infected, actually it doesn't look that bad (I know the pic looks horrifying). But the red color is a healthy color, and I have no pain, and no odor. So I will change the packing and just pray for no infection and also hope my asthma gets under control before I use too much steroid to cause problems.
In regards to this hole. It may be hard to tell from the picture but it isn't that deep which is good. Doc was able to clean it out and even remove a suture that was inside and may have caused more problems. I go back in a month unless I have more issues. Doc says this wound should close in 2 weeks or less. Please no infection that's all I ask for!!
Rest of my boobs are looking good. I will take pics of them later. Nipples are finally starting to flatten and look good. Even the horizontal incision on the right side is fine. Still looks puckered but it's healing and that's all that matters.
I continue to sleep on the recliner, sleeping better now that I can breath. Just sitting here watching and waiting for a giraffe to give birth!! Anyone else watching this giraffe? Anyways will update again soon. Happy healing!
