The Phone Call

$5,500
I finally received a call from the doctor at 4:41 p.m. I explain to him I went Urgent Care, the wounds that opened up, the infection I have, and I have asymmetric nipples, 1 breast bigger than the other, and the scarring. He told me he doesn't see any asymmetrical problems. He said it looks way better than the preoperative photos.

I would get a 2nd opinion. He sounds like he is not a good doctor.
What is the doctor’s name, so others can avoid this doxtor
I’m so sorry this happened to you! How are you doing now? Was this doctor a board certified plastic surgeon?

Urgent Care

Hello all, I have not heard from the doctor today. Everyone I spoke with yesterday assured me he will call me today and as of 4:24 p.m. I haven't heard from him. I am in so much pain that I went to Urgent Care. I was told ill be given a prescription for antibiotics because my surgical incisions are infected. My incisions has opened up in multiple places and she is referring me to a wound clinic. I can't go back to work November 20th. Not under these circumstances. I work in a warehouse and in the areas I work at heavy lifting occurs. I am so upset and hurt by all of this. The nurse practitioner examined the surgical sites and gave me new gauze. The new gauze I bought yesterday at Walgreens had blood and yellow discharge on them which is why she gave me new ones. That's when she explained the severity of the situation to me. I am glad I went to Urgent Care for their help.

Not healing well

In pain and a few incisions are open and leaking. I did speak to the nurse again today, the coordinator, and the post-op follow up team. So far I was told by the nurse that I'm healing inside out. I don't know what that means. I do know that the way I'm healing is not normal. I did what I was told to do clean the incisions and pat dry. Surgical tape doesn't do this when you're healing. Thoughts on this?

It looks like you are still swelling? Who was your surgeon?? Are you still in pain?
I was told the swelling is normal. My surgeon was Dr. Jarial Ravinder and yes I'm still in pain
Apply triple antibiotic and cover them, keep the area clean and use Vaseline once healed to help smooth and fade the scars. I would have the Dr. look at it to make sure the incision is not infected. Good luck and happy healing.
Thank you for your comment.. I agree to do that, however I was told by the nurse and the coordinator NOT to put anything on the incisions and to let them be dry with nothing on them. No moisture should be present is what I was told. I'm following there orders to see where this goes. I live in Greensboro, NC. I traveled to Miami to get the breast reduction surgery. So I can't just go drive to see him like he's local. I did receive a call earlier that Dr. Jarial Ravinder will call me tomorrow in the morning. I would go to another doctor, but I'm still under this doctor's care and discharge Hargett papers would have to be issued in order for me to be seen by another doctor. Now I may go to ER because I think my incisions are infected and I'm in pain
*their excuse my typos
Oh boy! All doctors have their own healing process. I was told to keep my incisions with triple antibiotic until healed and then I used a lot of Vaseline. I never had an issue thank God and my scars are nearly noticeable. Take care of yourself make sure you don’t have you’re in sessions in fact it. Good luck doll
I totally get it I traveled from Cranston, RI to Miami, Fl myself.
Thank you for commenting. I understand everything doctor has their own healing process as well, but I'm not sure if his post-op nurses are in sync with him. This whole experience is emotionally difficult
Safe healing. Google do some research or contact your doctor if you get no results with your plastic surgeon. Good luck
Sorry to hear that you’re feeling bad. I was told by my surgeon to put Bacitracin on my wound sites. I would only use Bacitracin or Polysporin and cover my wounds with an antibacterial non adhesive gauze (I got them from Walgreens). It worked wonders. I had my breast reduction surgery on August 31, 2021 and I returned to work last week. I am on light duty for 2 weeks, but I’m feeling well. I really hope your surgeon reach out to you soon. We go through this surgery to feel better about ourselves and overall health. You definitely shouldn’t have any added stress. Wishing you well!!
try high does of vitamin c and omit all carbs to reduce inflammation.
