I’m Not Sure if I Did the Right Thing

One year later!
Hey all! Just giving a one year update! I can’t believe how fast time went. My bra size now is a 38 c... I think I was a b. But I got pregnant back in august and they’ve grown to a c... I really like how they look now. There’s no pain. There’s no regret and it was the best design I made. What I advice is that, a few week after surgery. We have to be real. We had a major surgery. It’s not going to be the forever look!

Almost week 8
Hey all! I cant believe it’s been almost 2 month since my surgery! So I was scared and upset why my breast looked like they were connecting. I finally actually looked at my before pic and I had a lot of tissue between my breast. Before my surgery about two years ago, I was 312 pounds and I’ve lost since then 100 pounds. So I’m thinking because off all the weight gain, it caused that extra fat in between my breast. My doc explained that to me. Over real I’m happy with what they look like. They are still forming. I do see that one nipple is higher than the other. But I would take that instead of the 38h breast I used to have. Right now I’m a 36c. My breast do not form into the cups yet. Since they are still developing into a shape! Thank you for reading

Hi, in photo 22/22 you can see how The swelling is going down and you're beginning to get a nice gap / dip between your breasts, meaning no more uniboob the body is a wonderful thing and it takes its time healing and settling after such a big surgery I'm glad your doctor was able to calm your nerves and I think it's going to look lovely.

You seem to be healing nicely and I’m sure your breast shape will form beautifully. Thank you for sharing your journey for those of us considering this procedure

Follow up to all...
Thank you so much you all for the concern and feedback! It means a lot! Personally I feel like I shouldn’t have gone through it and I get sad when I look in the mirror. Right now I am no longer bleeding an the bruise that appears above my left breast, is slowly disappearing. Stitches are mostly dissolved. From all the different progresses I have followed I have yet to see anyone breast look like mine. So it does have me concerned. I saw my surgeon on Friday, and I did ask her about the middle portion and why it looks like they are connecting and she told me that, I’m still swollen. So give it time. At this moment, I do not like how they look, but once 6 to 8 weeks is up. I will have to get a second opinion. I just am going to give it a chance to heal and see how they turn up.

While you are waiting, you may find it beneficial to ask the doctors on this site for their professional opinions. Just go up to the top of the page, right where you see the word "search", then click on Q&A, and click on any of the topics that come up. Once you are in a question area, look on the right side for Ask a Doctor. I would upload a few photos so that you could get good feedback. We may just be overly concerned for you :)

I did try to ask! But got a reply back that the doctors all referred people with questions back to their surgeons so they no longer answer any questions!

I think I would either back to my own surgeon or even family doctor or just pay and go for second opinion consultation. It’s your health , your body .

It’s well worth it! I am day 5 post op , went from DDD/E to B/C . Healing fabulous, drain were removed today. No pain, last pain medication I took on Wednesday evening ( Tuesday was my surgery). Still taking antibiotics just in case and vit C. Was driving since Friday w/ pillow on my chest .
It’s well worth it if it’s done correctly by board certified surgeon with experience

Are you in any of the breast reduction FB groups? I found them to be very helpful with providing support post surgery and you might find someone there who had a similar experience

Im no longer in the FB groups, left a few months ago. Search breast reduction groups on FB and you will see a few. You will need to answer their questions to get in

Where did u get ur surgery? As in what city if ur not comfortable sharing the surgeons name. I have a consult in 2 weeks. Is there anything you wished you had asked? Do you still regret going through with it? How do they look now?

Hey! It's dr krummenN, I got it done in Cincinnati Ohio. At this moment,it's not a regret thing. It's a let me see how they will turn out in a few weeks. Today is actually one month out. They look about the same as last week. Will post week update today. I guess my question would be, what can be done if not satisfied with what they look like? Will she be paying? I had no idea, my boobs would be "connecting" and no space.
