WORTH IT
Hey all!
I got ahold of my before and afters I figured I'd post here for you guys! I didnt have any before pictures of my own that showed off how truly disproportianate and awful my before breasts were. Just looking at my before was making me cringe that I had those on my chest and how much of my torso they covered!! The afters were taken at my 6 week post op I believe. They were still pretty boxy and hadn't settled in as nicely as they are now.

12 Weeks
AZBRDecember 4, 2019
Hey ya'll! Here's my 12 week update with lots of photos of course.
What's new:
Swelling continues to go down, I dont feel like my boobs look like implants anymore which I'm like 30% sad about lol!
I'm running again and it feels AMAZING! I totally understand people who like running now, it feels so much free-er. I wear my best sports bra and a compression vest so theres no bouncing. I feel like I can run forever!
I can now comfortably sleep on my stomach, I dont feel that wierd pressure any more.
That numb spot I mentioned a while back on my inner right portion of my boob is now tender to the touch and hurts if I press so my nerves are starting to fire back on slowly but surely.
100% feeling in both nipples and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get em pierced when I'm fully healed.
My scars feel much softer, and when I run my hands across I can barely feel anything there. That "charger cable" feeling under my skin is down by 85% after I started getting more aggressive with my massages. I was just using the pads of my fingers at first but then I moved to using my knuckles and big differences happened after that. Again it was only on the inner chest portion and along my sides and now it's mostly just the inner chest that could still stand to go down some more. I think that's because it doesnt get much compression throughout the day unlike my sides which are pressed down by my sports bra (which is good for flattening scars) so I resorted to rolling up a sock and sticking it between my boobs in my sports bra for the day while I'm at work, and it sounds funny but it works!!! It was like a night and day difference when I started doing that.
Other than that it's mostly just color changes to my scars going on right now and keeping everything going I guess. Scars go from purplish to red/pink and then to white eventually and I'm in the purple/pinky stage. The time of day and what I've been doing makes them darker for that time being but I know they're on their way so I just trust the process.
I still do silicone strips 24/7 as much as I can basically. On run days I take the strips off and massage with palmers skin therapy oil. I prefer the palmers to bio oil just because I personally already know that palmers works really well for my skin so I just stick with that. It makes my skin really silky soft and it smells like hot chocolate.
I started doing the oil instead of silicone gel just to try something new and I've been pleased so far.
I took some close ups of my scars this time around so I can compare further on down the road, and also a bunch in cute bralettes I could never wear before just so you guys can see how they're sitting. I think they're perfect and I adore them!
My follow up appointment with my doc is in January so that will probably be my next post as well, but I'm always lurking on here checking out other peoples progress and journeys and I'm an open book so if you have any questions feel free to shoot! Hope you guys have happy holidays!!

Your scars are almost invisible! You’re healing incredibly. I hope I look like that when I get mine done Jan 20. I’m so nervous about it all. They look perfect in your new bras :)
December 4, 2019
They're gettin there slowly but surely, but thank you so much! Don't be nervous, I'm sure yours will be great, just take it a day at a time. Best wishes!

Can you share what binder you are using and sports bras? And u are saying you put the sock between the breast? I am having a difficult time finding a good sports bra that has some compression without hurting my shoulders. I want some kind of comforting and the bra I got from the Hospital was perfect. Not tight around shoulders on chest but it was a nice compression on the breast! They are expensive however. Thanks

The compression vest I wear when running is the Yianna Neoprene Tank Top Vest which was like 20 bucks but I'm sure theres cheaper on amazon. I just buy small sports bras from ross or tj maxx for pretty cheap and make sure they're snug. I tried buying ones online but I don't like not being able to try on before I buy, and half the ones I bought online don't fit any more now that my swelling is down. And yes I roll up a sock and wedge it between my boobs. I can pretty much get away with having it in there all day cause my uniform for work is baggy and then I sleep with it there at night.

Thank u for your help! I am hoping to keep the results uplifted as long as possible! Lol

I think I will try the sock thing especially at night because it would help them stay in one place I think. My uniform is baggy as well so at work would be fine for me as well! I am a Dental Assistant and a certified MA.

I’m at 10 days Post-op and appreciate the reviews that discuss the healing process! Thanks for sharing. I think we were similarly sized; I had 970g removed from the right and 760g from the left. I was wearing a 34J and think I’ll probably end up a D-cup when I’m all done healing. I wish I could have been made even smaller but it’s a huge improvement regardless. I can’t wait to go shopping for new bras and tops! You look amazing!
December 6, 2019
Thank you so much!! Shopping for new bras/tops is definitely one of the highlights to look forward to, I spend forever in dressing rooms now trying any and everything on squealing over how it fits lol. Best wishes with your recovery and happy healing!!

You're welcome! I have to get rid of about 20 pounds from my midsection before I'll be squealing in delight....smaller boobs really emphasize the thickness of my middle! lol. These smaller boobs will allow me to exercise with less pain though! I plan to hit the gym with a new vigor come February when I'll be cleared for high-impact exercise! Happy Holidays! Hope you get lots of new tops! Haha.

Hi there! Can you go bra free? I'm having my reduction in November and want to ditch the bra eventually!

8 Weeks Post Op Update
AZBRNovember 9, 2019
Hey there! Just checking in at 8 weeks post op! Updates: I'm able to sleep on my stomach pretty much comfortably. It's not painful it's just a wierd sensation to get used to. My boobs would pretty much just squish this way or that before and now they're so firm I get wierded out by the pressure lol!
I sleep on my side 99% of the time and still wear my bras of course. I haven't gone a day without one, I just wear the least heavy duty one at night.
The product I tried for 2 weeks in my last update was Cicatricure and tbh I didn't see much change after the first few days even applying it 4-5 times a day (so obnoxious.) It's basically mederma and has a slight onion smell I wasnt fond of so I say dont waste your money.
I've been getting alot more random zingy pains since I started working out and lifting again. Even when I'm not doing anything, they're coming more frequent and sticking around longer so sometimes I grab and hold my boobs without thinking even in public or at work lol! Working out feels pretty good though, some movements I have to get used to again, and doing bench waa definitely a struggle going back down to baby weights but I don't wanna do too much too soon and I was hella sore the next day.
I've started getting slightly thicker scars, not visually on the surface, but on my sides and in the center of my chest when I rub those scars I can feel almost like a small ropey/cable type feel under my skin. It literally feels like a piece of charger cable is under my skin when I press. I've started focusing my massages there and some days they're softer than others but I'm just gonna keep massaging so they stay soft and hopefully I break them up enough that they go away but I'm gonna ask my doc about it.
Other than that I'm still pretty much on my same regiment of products other than the wound cleanser that's finally used up.
When switching out my silicone sheets I started trying to go 24 hours between changes and just leave them bare so my skin can breathe, and I will say I definitely don't like the feel of clothing rubbing on my scars without the silicone sheets as the buffer. It causes more zings and pin prickles here and there.
Todays photos include how they're lookin in bras and bare. Still not doing underwires of course. I wear medium in the wireless bras.
Happy healing all! Unless I've got important news I'll update again at 12 weeks!

Wow. Your surgery went exactly how’d I’d like to imagine mine can. I am yet to settle on a dr in Canada where I live. Not many show images or examples of my body shape/size as a comparison or to know how well a surgeon may perform the reduction as well.
Other than height our dimensions are exactly the same. So happy for you and thank you for posting all the after shots with explanations. It not easy finding much info on reductions for ladies our size to start! Now if only I can find a dr who performs it as well and does the insurance coverage as well

Sure thing! I try to post what I wanted to know when I was doing my research and checking out reviews. I would definitely say what helped me choose to go with my doctor is having him take time out to sit down with me and show me his before and after on his laptop (and not just pawning that task off to someone else or leaving me to look by myself) with people my age or with my breast type/size, because he explained my dense breast tissue was going to sit/look different than someone with the same size but different density. But my doc didnt have ANY pictures on the website, he was recommended by my insurance, so I was SUPER skeptical at first and had almost written him off tbh lol. I'd say if they don't have pics ask for them during your consult and their response to that as well as the look of their work of course will help you out! Best wishes on finding your doc!
