WORTH IT
I’ve been dreaming of a reduction since I was 16 years old and had grown to a very quick DDD. After years of pain and my breast constantly being in the way, I was able to be referred by my primary. While consulting with the kind, patient, and knowable Dr.Murray, my mind was made up! That dream was finally becoming a reality! 3 months flew by and I was then met with Pre-op. Mrs. Wendy was pleasant and addressed all of my concerns. My surgery is now 2 days away, 10.14.2025 and I’m now starting to have cold feet. I guess the unknown is kind of getting to me. I keep reminding myself I’m in good hands and once it’s over I’ll never have to look back. The reviews left by the amazing women who also shared their experience is what prompted me to share my journey as well. After all, it’s what helped me to stand in my decision with choosing my surgeon! So I’ll leave some photos of me before surgery and follow-up in a few days. #10/14!!!

Yayyyy! The time is now here!
I was told nothing by mouth, including water, after midnight, so I ate around 11:30pm lol. Surgery time was sch for 9am at his 8th street location. Check in went smooth and before I knew it, I was hugging my mom and changing into my gown. Dr. Murray was preforming another surgery when I got there so I didn’t go back until around noon. Not sure how long surgery took but I woke up crying in pain around 4:30pm, so my nurse gave me something that allowed me to rest once I got home. No appetite yet, just trying to drink some pineapple juice since my throat is still sore from the tube. Otherwise, everything seems to be going ok. Just not sure on when I’m suppose to start antibiotics? That’s really my only concern—getting an infection.
Update: He removed 534g from the right & 417g from the left.

Also to add— while he was marking me, I started getting nervous and began worrying about the aftermath. He then asked to pray with me and that allowed me to calm down and realize I was in good hands! Thank you Dr. Murray for being so kind and patient!!!

I finally built up the courage to change out the dressings myself, which made me super lightheaded.
I assumed they were a good size but as I was removing the pads, I didn’t see much of a difference.
Hopefully it’s just all in my head and the surgery was worth it. I ended up starting my cycle the same day as surgery so maybe that’s contributing to the bloating & swelling?
