I have always wanted a breast reduction since I was 16 years old and finally this was the year I bit the bullet. I contacted various large companies, however settled for going to a consultant directly! This felt just the right way to go for me. My mum had previously used this surgeon and for me going to the surgeon directly helped me feel more like a person, rather than a number. I had my consultation on 26th October 2020, and this went smoothly and all my questions were answered. What I liked the most was there was no pressure, it was explained that there was the choice between two hospitals however only one current quote, I was made aware that the second hospital was cheaper. The secretary kept in touch frequently and contacted me straight away when the quotes and dates came back from the second hospital which I was happier with. I am extremely lucky that both hospitals are within a 10/15 minute drive for me. I am currently awaiting the BMI Park Hospital to contact me further, however up to now everything is looking positive.

Just another before picture.
I started to notice these indents in my shoulders years ago, but they would go overnight when not wearing a bra. However, now they are there whether I wear a bra or not, and clearly I’m not an expert but I believe this is due to the weight of my breasts.

I have these, I can actually now feel my bone :( Was hoping to have had my surgery last July but was cancelled. They contacted me last Wednesday, so fingers crossed for the 18th Jan now. Good luck :)

Thank you! One is more than the other, think that's my slightly larger side. If you don't mind me asking what size you going to go too, I'm torn between D and C cup; as everyone is so different I'm struggling to judge the sizes on me.

So my surgeon has suggested between D/DD will be the most I can go to for my frame, and I have quite broad shoulders but obviously cannot guarantee until surgery. It's so hard to decide isn't it.

Post-Op Update!

echarlotte_
So I’m currently 5 weeks post-op, 6 on Monday.
I can honestly say I am so happy with the result! I had my op on 25/01/2021 at BMI The Park, obviously due to COVID no visitors were allowed in the hospital and I was worried about this. The staff were amazing though, and so chatty and lovely. Nothing to worry about.
The procedure went well, I’m not entirely sure how long it took because I can’t remember much from after I came round. However, the surgeon came round in the afternoon and told me it had gone well. Once leaving hospital, I had a few minor issues with one of my breasts (the more bruised in the pictures) but the aftercare has been amazing, and in particular Kara who is one of the nurses at The Park. I am so so so so so happy with the result! Obviously being 5/6 weeks post-op my scars are still red I’m so happy with them.
