The Best Decision I Have Ever Made.
WORTH IT
From first speaking to Amir and his team I was instantly looked after with the very best of care possible. Whether it be a little reassurance after being a little nervous or answering any of my questions no matter if I thought they were irrelevant.
This operation is something that I had wanted since a young age due to my breasts never forming properly and too large and being something that caused me a lot of pain and meant I had absolutely zero body confidence, every day of my life.
On the day of the operation, as soon as I came around I was so happy with the results, I could only see the post op bra but I could feel how different it all was, the pulling and the pain around my chest and neck had gone and although I was very hazy from the anaesthetic wearing off, I knew that everything had changed!
Amir talked me through the surgery afterwards and checked the following day for any bleeds of which there were none, once I had managed to have some food I was sent home to recover!
At home I was quite sore but this is to be expected with any sort of surgery. I have been managing the discomfort with ibuprofen and paracetamol when needed and have just been making sure that so rest and listen to my body!! The hardest thing has been sleeping elevated on my back but I have managed this with lots of pillows and cushions and I'm slowly getting better at it!
At my one week check up the tape was removed, no where near as uncomfortable as I thought it would be! And I was told by Amir that I am healing really well and so far there are no concerns at all, and we will have another check up in a further 5 weeks time.
Having a breast reduction was something I had researched for such a long time so I knew a lot if the ins and outs, but being looked after by Amir and everyone at Bella Vou on such a personal level changed it from being 'an operation' into a genuine life changing experience.
I am so grateful for everything they have all done and the way they have treated me throughout the entire process to date. I am really looking forward to my next check up and can't wait to see how my chest now gets even better as time goes on and my body heals.
Already I feel like a different life is ahead of me where I will be able to wear what clothes I like, not worry about constant back pain, and most importantly for me I can look in the mirror and keep my eyes open!
