Cost Me Thousands

Initially Dr. Vu was helpful answering my questions at the consult. I carefully planned and set up a surgery date more than 3 months in advance, took time off from work, bought a plane ticket for my sister to help me during my recovery (I have two small kids and am a solo parent), and removed my name from my draft sports league I play in for the season. A few weeks before my surgery, I got a call from the Vu Center saying that we would have to reschedule because Dr. Vu was going on vacation. Unfortunately, I couldn't reschedule because of the burden of cost for a second round of plane tickets and leave for both myself and my sister. They offered no alternatives or flexibility even though the mistake was on their end.
