Hi! And first consultation

Hi guys! I thought that I should start posting on here because I have finally decided to get a breast reduction and I have read too many reviews to count over the last couple of months that have been so helpful! I’m currently a student, and I’m in my last year studying forensic science. I like forensics but I’m still not sure yet what I want to be. Anyways, I’ve had very large boobs for years (I was fitted as a 32G about 4 years ago when I was 18 and even before that I just squeezed into smaller bras) and have not always had significant back and/or shoulder pain but the pain has been increasingly more noticeable over the last year or so. I’ve always thought by boobs were way too big for my frame (I’m 5’8, 140ish lbs) but everyone seemed to love them (just in that people would complement them and say how great they looked and they helped “fill out” clothing) but I never really truly thought about a breast reduction. I stumbled upon realself and breast reduction surgery through the black hole of the Internet about a year ago. Since reading all these inspirational and life changing stories it has always been in the back of my mind. Fast forward to the summer when I was at the doctors and in passing I asked about breast reduction. She immediately thought it would be a possibility for me and gave me a referral (I live in Canada and for OHIP to cover the cost of a plastic surgeon consultation a referral from your family doctor is needed). Fast forward again to this past Monday when I had my consult. The surgeon was very lovely and kind AND said that I was an absolute candidate for breast reduction surgery AND (thanks government of Canada) it would be free! I went to the consult alone (aka without my mom) so I told the doctor that I would call him to discuss next steps after I asked it over with her, so guess whose calling to book her pre-op on Monday!!!

*as a side note, I won’t be booking the surgery until the end of April because I don’t want the surgery and recovery to interfere with school as I’m in my last semester and I graduate in May (eek)!!!! So I have at least another 4 months with my huge boobs.
