7 weeks tomorrow!
WORTH IT
I went bra shopping yesterday...I still only bought sports bras lol. I tried on a few regular bras (which I haven't worn in years) and didn't really find any that I liked. I THINK they have to be underwire free for awhile still and will ask at my follow up Olin a few days.
Based on yesterday I believe I am a 36 C for the most part. I'm super happy about the size and love the shape! They still need to settle into the bottom a bit but I LOVE them! And I love the fact that I was able to buy string bikinis for the first time in my life at 47 years old!! Lol
I am back to all regular activities including high intensity exercise...feeling weak in my chest and core but that will come back. Reaching for full extension is not quite there yet but I'm basically 100%
The ONLY thing I am really disappointed with is the bra bulge at my armpits that doesn't seem to have been removed. I did pay extra for lipo in that area and at my sides and while he got close to that area on my chest, didn't quite get over far enough. I have a follow up in a few days and will see what my options are at that point.

Almost 5 weeks
I've been able to sleep on my side for a week and it's been heaven!! My lower back feels so much better. Still achy but that will get better as I get exercising properly. A great tip I heard was to put a rolled up sock between your breasts for side sleeping. It helps a lot!!
I've been able to get some light workouts in but it wears me out pretty quickly and I need to be careful to pay attention to my body and energy levels.
I was finally able to remove the rest of the tape last night as it was stuck down really well and I didn't want to mess with it too much after showers etc. I've just realized that there are a few stitches that were missed and will have to wait until Monday to see the nurse I suppose. I don't want to try and remove them myself and leave any bits behind.
Overall I'm feeling great, recovery has been good. No real pain, just discomfort in the way of tenderness or a sunburned type feeling. Mostly on the sides where I had the lipo. I was supposed to get lipo in the armpit area and I know there was some but it still bulges there more than I'd like. I will address that with the surgeon next time I see him.

Happy to hear you are doing so well! You are healing wonderfully! Are you happy with the size?
Hey! Thank you so much! I am really happy with the size! I was a little concerned at first that they seemed so small but I am getting used to it and love being able to wear cute $10 bras now!! Lol. They look a little bigger in clothes to me so I'm really pleased overall. :)
I am scheduled for a breast reduction. Several doctors have said that is will alleviate my numbness and tingling in my arms when I lie on my side. Met the neurologist yesterday and said that won't help one bit! Did you have these symptoms prior, have they improved? Also may I ask what size you went with? I am spilling out of an E, and plan to go down to a B to alleviate symptoms. Wondering if this would be too drastic since I have been large for 30 years! Thanks.
Hi :) Now that you've asked, I used to have a weird sensation that would go down my left arm, usually when I was driving and haven't had that in a while...I'm not sure if that's related or not, but my neck and upper back pain relief was immediate! I would think that you will have multiple benefits going from an E to a B!! I'm by no means a doctor obviously, but I can't help thinking that you will find relief from that based on relieving the pressure on the nerves, etc in your neck and traps by removing all of the breast weight in the front. I am SOOOOO happy I did it!! I couldn't imagine having big breasts again! I'd say I'm about a full B now. Perfect size for me! Good luck and I know you won't regret it!
Thanks so much for your response. I' m so glad that my doctor directed me to this page. With so drastic, just hope I wouldn't regret it since the neurologist that I saw the other day said it wouldn't help. 6 other licensed professionals say it will help my symptoms. Been doing massage, chiropractic care, PT, ice, and TENs unit at home with little relief!
I can't imagine that it wouldn't help based on the difference I feel :) when is your surgery?
It isn't scheduled until August 1st because of work scheduling and I don't want to interfere with my daughter and my trip to Australia in July. Personally I can't wait, so tired of my neck needed adjustments every other day, and the headaches that go alone with it!
You're going to love it!! Best decision ever!! :)
Did you have absorbable stitches?
Yes there were internal dissolvable stitches and a few external stitches. I had the external ones removed at my 2 week follow up

Comparison...
So I wore this bra out a couple nights before my surgery... I could only handle "real" bras for a couple hours until my neck started killing me and wore sports bras 99.9% of the time. Here's the "bye bye boobie" picture we got at dinner lol
And here's a picture of me in that bra today ...
