My swelling has been pretty variable, but this pic is from a good day. I am currently measuring a 34/36 DDD, and am hoping to go down at least 1 more size :) Very happy I did tbe lipo, because I feel I would not have been in proportion otherwise. Anyway, after months of slow healing, my dehesion and suture spitting have resolved. My early lack of scars is a bonus from the EDS/slow healing :)

I am convinced that I could not have selected a better surgeon. Dr. Soni was caring, he worked closely with me on a pre-existing complicating condition, he advocated for me with hospital staff, and made absolutely sure I had everything I needed to return home with confidence. From his scheduler, Eve, to the PAs that visited me in the hospital, all of his staff were caring, competent, and efficient. My surgery was 5 days ago and my results are shaping up nicely. You will not regret selecting Dr. Soni as your surgeon.

What kind of faja did you end up getting? I'm having a breast lift with anchor incision, lipo and bbl and I'm worried about it rubbing the incisions.

I used Marena compression garments with a built-in bra after the second week. https://marena.com/collections/womens-post-surgical-bodysuits

4 weeks

Ok all, the healing process has been slowwwww for me. My EDS means that I don't produce collagen effectively, or as my PS says "you basically heal like a 70 year old." I finally got most of my external stitches removed at 4 weeks (yes, that is abnormally long but my scars are weak, so needed the reinforcement). I experienced minor dehesion at t junction on both breasts, but it has resolved on the left. I am also starting to spit internal stitches, so hopefully that trend stays at a minimum. Got cleared to drive last week, but so far have only tried it once bc every bump in the road is awful. I've seen Dr. Soni at least weekly since surgery and this time I graduated to 10 days between visits! He and his staff have been amazing, taking every precaution. I am still very swollen, but you can tell that he did an excellent job aesthetically. No boxiness, perfectly symmetrical, etc.

Vitamin C really helped me heal fast. I took 1000mg each day for a couple of weeks or more. I throw hammer and discus as a Master athlete and felt so good at 5 weeks I was able to throw a lighter weight hammer and feel good. I also take collagen everyday.

I've been taking Juven, which is for old people to help with wound healing. It has collagen, glutamine, arganine, vitamin C, Vitamin B12, and some other vitamins I can't remember. Not sure if its helping, but it won't hurt!

Make sure of the amounts in each are good. Vitamin C is water soluble so 1000mg is good for healing unless you gave other issues with kidneys etc. Good Luck,

Steristrips Removed - Stitches still in

Exuberant7462
I went to my third post-op appointment and the doctor removed only two stitches. He didn't put any other kind of barrier back on my incisions and now I feel, psychologically, ike I am literally coming apart at the seams, and also much more physically uncomfortable because I can see every little stitch each time i move. They chafe and poke and if I sweat at all my incisions burn. Not my favorite point in the recovery. He did give me Stratamed, a silicone gel dressing, which is similar to the silicone strips but for earlier in the healing process. The doctor is happy with how the wounds are healing, I just wish he would have dressed them! I also learned that while I know I will get smaller over the next few months as swelling resolves, i also will still likely be an E/F cup, because it wasn't safe to remove more than 450 grams from each and still preserve blood supply, due to my weird vascular structure. Any way it was a hard day, even though the healing is going OK.

We are having a very similar recovery. I take at least one, many days two showers because of the way my stitches feel. I went for a walk, got a little sweaty and had to come home and run into the shower Also had the one main stitch removed yesterday and I was worried about it opening but it appears to be OK. She said there might be a little bit of discharge which there was so I was not worried. I sprayed some hydrogen peroxide on it a few times yesterday. It helped. She told me that is better because it keeps it dry, tether than something like neosporin My main worry and source of stress is the burning sensation I am getting from anything that touches my skin on the side of my breasts and the skin above my nipple. It is so sensitive it is constantly hurting and the only thing that feels good is to sit around without a shirt on. Since my family is here this is pretty much impossible, so I’ve been secluding myself away. I go back to work in 12 days. I am starting to panic, because this is still so painful. Trying to stay relaxed, but it is getting harder as I check every day off the calendar. I thought about now I would be feeling much better.

I'm sorry you are having a rough time! Did your doctor say anything about using silicone strips to protect the incisions and help with scarring? I'm going to ask mine next week if those are a possibility for me. This openness is really intolerable. I bought a different bra, which comes tomorrow, so I'll see if that helps at all. Feels like 1 step forward two steps back some days. For me, showers are an ordeal because I'm afraid to get the incisions wet. I think my discomfort is partly psychological - it is truly disconcerting to look in the mirror and be held together with string. Sending you healing vibes and best wishes for a speedy recovery in the upcoming 12 days!
