I was hesitant to post my journey here as it just felt a bit too public but having found others’ reviews so helpful, I thought I ought to pay it forward.
I’m currently in the waiting room for my pre-op tests. Surgery is tomorrow. I have two children and having finished breastfeeding, I’m finally taking the plunge and getting a reduction and lift.

So I had some fun saying bye to the ‘girls’ with some parting shots to help me remember them when they’re gone. They have served me well by feeding my two babies but I’m very excited to have smaller, more manageable versions.

How are you? Hope everything is going well... You're probably feeling a bit 'out of it' I know I was the first week after the op.

Today is day 2 after the op and I’m starting to feel a bit more with it. I’ve been so sleepy and spent most of the time drifting in an out of sleep. Even with the pressure of the compression bra, the weight on my chest feels so much lighter!

I’m just waiting to be discharged from the hospital. I haven’t been brave enough to take a proper look yet and kept my eyes firmly closed when the doctor removed the drains and changed the dressings today.
I have been surprised at how manageable the pain has been - discomfort yes but not what I would call unbearable pain. Although they did give me a top up of morphine yesterday which was really quite blissful!
I’ve been in and out of sleep for most of the 2 days and having some crazy dreams!
When I came around in the recovery room I was apparently speaking Thai to the nurses, way more fluently than I am able to normally. First I asked them if I was alive, then if I had small boobs and then if I could go back to sleep! Must have given them a giggle!

I know what you mean about paying it forward. I didn't want to put pictures of my boobs on the Internet, but it's only fair given how many pictures of other women's boobs I've looked at!
