Breast reduction before day of PS consult

I had my first meeting with Dr David Durst today. The process was quick today. I met his office manager and she took my before pictures and medical info before I met with the Dr. He was super nice and everything was straightforward and I felt completely comfortable with him and his staff. They answered all of my questions. Now everything is in the hand of BCBS of Alabama for approval. I’m hoping for approval and not having to submit everything by snail mail. So here are my before pics and I can’t wait to add my post op pics soon!!

I am having mine on the 23rd. I am a 36F and wanting to get to a small C or B. My husband kept telling the doctor ‘the smaller the better’

I’m currently a 42H and going to B/C also. But my husband wants to pay the doctor to make them bigger. Ahh!

Hi there jsledge, I’m booked in for 25 Jan and cannot wait! I’m a 38H, hoping for a D maximum. Good luck with your preparations!

I officially have a date!!!

January 30th at 10:30 I will finally have these bad boys removed! I’m so tired of the snoopy boobs and I’m ready for tiny tatas!

My doctor sent my info to insurance on December 28th for approval and I called today Jan 2nd, in hopes that I got approved. I’m sure I annoyed the sweet lady on the phone (that tends to happen when you squeal and giggle when you get good news!) when she told me it was approved.

I did my pre op papers online for the surgery center and moved all my clients that would have been booked when I’m recovering. I’m so excited I could cry right now!

Now I just have to wait for the big day. But I do have a trip to Miami coming up before surgery to look forward to. That’s gonna suck having to wear compression hose on the flight since it’s so close to surgery time. Don’t want to risk the blood clots!

Supplies! Supplies!

So I’m super nerdy and Pinterest ain’t got nothin on me! I should have been a Boy Scout with my need to always be prepared. I stopped into my local Walmart’s (southern. It’s a thing) and got what I have searched the internet to find supplies needed for my recovery arsenal. I am so ready for this it’s no joke.
So here is my list of what I have put together so far.
5 zip front hoodies
3 zip front bras
2 post op bras from the surgery center
Maternity pillow
Extra pillows
Heating pad
Two extra large ice packs to rotate
Large gauze pads
Small gauze pads
Tape
Triple antibiotic ointment
Polysporin
Tylenol quick release
Gas-ex
Stool softener
Gloves
Compression socks

You might want to consider getting nonstick surgical pads and 4”x9” combine stomach pads. I got those from amazon.

I did get two packs of surgical pads and smaller pads but they didn’t have the other size. The picture cut off some of my stuff. Anything else I’m missing?

Dial antibacterial soap bars.
I used that before surgery and after.
Button down light weight pajamas. Target has a great selection.

I have the liquid dial. Will that work?

As long as it is antibacterial it should be okay, I prefer the bar soap.

Also paper plates, plastic forks, spoons, knives and cups. Much lighter and easier to use than dishes, plus disposable.

Thanks. Working on the medical part now and getting food prep the week before. Thanks for the reminder
