5 weeks PO

I am now 5 weeks post op my scabs have finally all disappeared including my lipo scabs which I'm so happy about because they have been so painful. My areoles and nipples are very sensitive and I know that's normal but it can be uncomfortable. I do have a rash almost as though they are chaffed but I think that's normal. I don't see my doc again until Feb. which will be my 3 or 4 month follow up. I'm going to start using the scar treatment they gave me soon just waiting for this rash to go away because its making me so uncomfortable. I'm allowed to do normal activities however when I over do it my boobs swell and I'm in so much pain so I'm trying not to do to much which is hard because I'm a go getter personality and not being able to do that is testing my patience. I do get what I call zingers it feels like sharp electricity and its so painful but I know its a good thing its my nerves doing what they need to do to heal. I can't wait to finally take a bath instead of a shower I get to in December so I'm counting down the days. I also get to wear a normal bra after six weeks so that's exciting I just can't have an underwire which is totally fine with me. So far I'm happy I just want the healing to go faster some days are better than others. I will update again in Feb.

I’m 4 weeks post op and your statement is 100% how I’ve felt. The large scab on areola is still there and I’m over it. Can’t wait to be carefree. Thank you for sharing!

18 days PO update

I am now 18 days Post Op. The first picture is my before and after 1 day po. Yes I had drains they were literally hell. I got them removed 4 days post op and I was so happy they were causing me so much pain. I have an auto immune issues so I'm not sure if that's why my recovery seems super painful or if its just really painful for everyone. The drains were hell like I stated before and where they did lipo is also so painful. So far as of now I am numb on both sides of my breasts and underneath them. I know it can take time for the sensation to come back. I also have a lot of pain still but unfortunately all I have for pain is Tylenol and Motrin which is fine for good days. However when I have bad days I could really use pain pills which I don't have. I really feel like they need to have pain pills for the super rough days because the pain is intense. I can't take gabapentin or cymbalta which they give patients for nerve pain. I'm stuck with over the counter meds and pain meds which again I don't have so I'm miserable. This recovery is probably the roughest and hardest I have ever gone through. The bottom of my ribs feel bruised which I was told is normal. The sides where my lip were done is extremely painful. My breasts themselves ache terribly but again I have good days and bad days. I have started to get extremely sharp electric shock like pains that are so intense in my breasts. When I get that pain I want to cry. I joined a breast reduction support group on Facebook that has been so helpful and have met amazing women on there. I see my doc in 4 days for my 3 week check up and then I will update again. I'm hoping to get my operative report to look at. I will post more pics after my 3 week post op check as well. I still am not allowed to use heat or ice.

Surgery

My Surgery was Oct. 11th, 2021 I was the Dr.s first case. Everyone at the surgery center except for the front desk ladies were extremely caring and nice. I was really nervous but as I talked with the nurses, anesthesiologist, and my doc I felt much better. I was mostly scared of the anesthesia not the surgery and scared I wouldn't wake up but of course I did. When I woke up they told me they took 6 pounds! Six Pounds that's crazy! I already felt so much lighter and was so happy when I looked down that my watermelon boobs were gone! This picture is a before and after surgery 1day PO.
