8 weeks and back to work
WORTH IT$3,000
It’s been 8 weeks since my surgery and today was my first day back to work. Most people were excited and said I looked amazing but one person literally said, “Oh my God! They took everything!!!!” She seemed genuinely upset which was weird to me because it’s my body. My energy held up good and I had a couple zingers and my breasts started to sting towards the end of the day. I am VERY tired and will probably go to bed very early!

New burning pain
Hello all! I went to a party today. It’s a group I’m very comfortable with. I decided to pull up my shirt(in private) to show my friend the bumpy stitches/incision on my left chest wall. She was really disturbed and said it looked terrible. Her sister had a breast reduction and she said hers never looked like that. I explained that I had the liposuction and skin removal but she said it still looked too red. I wore my smaller size surgical bra which may have put too much pressure on the site. After I took my bra off when I got home I felt a searing hot pain in one little part of this incision. It’s a new pain, I haven’t felt this before. I can deal with the pain because it’s a small area, but I’m wondering if a stitch or some tissue came open? I don’t really see anything in the mirror or pictures but it sure does burn!!! I’ll put ice on it and possibly go without the bra to sleep in or I’ll wear one of my softer bras. Do our guys see anything unusual?

Sorry very slow in reading your post. It could be a stitch inside trying to breakdown. Have to admit my lipo’d areas are fairly flat now with no pulling of the skin. Do you have a raised temp? Has the pain settled?
I still have a pinching type pain and the area is still pretty red. The areas where he did the lipo still feel bruised but look normal. I can sleep on each side for an hour two. I guess I thought I would only be managing scars and zingers 7 weeks post op. I’m still working on accepting the slow healing process. I don’t have a temperature and I don’t think anything is wrong that won’t be healed with time. The t-junction wounds are almost closed. The right side is taking its sweet time though.

6 weeks photos
I said that I would try to post photos of the healing wounds. Also, the PS said that he could remove the “dog ear flap” that appears to be forming on the left chest wall. He said it’s easy to do in the office once my other healing is completed. He will just remove the skin and it will heal flat. I don’t mind some scarring but I don’t want skin hanging over that cold pick up bacteria or be prone to rashes or itching. As always, I’m sorry about the lighting in my bathroom. It really is hard to get decent photos of your own body!!! I’m pretty happy with how fast these wounds have suddenly started to heal!

Everything looks good from the pictures! And you might be surprised how much the scars smooth out in the next few weeks/months. It sure sounds like your job could be very stressful. A lot of healing can happen in a couple of weeks though, so try not to get discouraged. Good luck with the cleanse :-)
Thank you! It’s incredible ow fast these wounds heal once they decide to get going!! I had read on many sites that the wounds take a long time to heal, but once they do it happens almost immediately. At the time I didn’t believe it because I was frustrated. Well, it’s true!!! I’ve also started using a meditation app at night specifically for pain control. That has also worked! I haven even used ice packs or OTC pain relievers in a couple days. The app is “Glen Harold Sleep Well” and then you can purchase specific topics. It comes with some basic ones. I like his voice and his visualization exercises are excellent. I had acupuncture again today and I’m on the second full day of the cleanse. I feel great and have decided I need to get on track and build some strength! If we can go through this procedure, we can do anything!!!!
I love Glenn! I found his book at my local library a while back and then ended up downloading some of his apps! He has a great life story and a wonderful voice. I actually used a different one from "Surf City"it's just called "Pain Relief". They have a lot of free ones, you can pay for upgrades if you want the extras but I didn't. I would listen to it in the afternoon when I felt tired...I think it helped a lot! I have actually recommended it to a few people on here...glad you found Glenn's! Take your time with getting back to building strength...your body needs all its resources just to heal right now. Less is more!!
Thank you!! Glenn is the best, however I don’t know his life story. I need to look into it. I’ll look for the Surf City app too. I like to have many tools in my tool box. I walked 2 miles in one hour on the treadmill today. It was much easier to walk on the treadmill than the days I’ve gone walking outside. Tomorrow is a fasting day on the cleanse, I am supposed to do it once a week. We’ll see how that goes.
