How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

What the heck!?!
I’ll have to contact RealSelf to ask why the photos posted so HUGE! I’m using the app and choosing photos from my phone’s library. Ugh. Irritating! I’ll try to get this fixed.
Before & Afters!
When I was posting my review, I didn’t realize my photos hadn’t uploaded. I’m certain you’re curious to see my before & after pix, so here you are. I’ve thrown in some recovery pix and a few “afters” from my first scar revision surgery, which happened on 1/29/2021. Let me know if you have any questions!
From a 36JJ to a 36DD
After years of suffering with breasts as big as small watermelons, in August of 2019, I finally asked my primary care physician for a referral to the breast clinic. I was given an appointment for a consultation with a plastic surgeon in September, and as soon as she opened my gown and saw the size of my breasts, she started naming off all the reasons I qualified for a medically necessitated reduction. She saw the deep groves in my shoulders from 30+ years of wearing supportive bras, asked if I experienced back &/or neck pain (YES!), noticed the curvature of my spine, and asked if I had trouble exercising due to the weight (another YES!). I told her I had chronic migraines, and to my surprise, she says "90% of my migraine patients have had drastic improvements post-surgery." She asked me what my optimal bra cup size would be, and I told her a small B would be amazing. Unfortunately, she explained that it would be impossible to keep my nipples alive if she made me that small, so i told her I would place my trust in her and be happy with whatever was outcome was feasible in my case. I was very hopeful and scheduled my surgery for November 27th, 2019.
