Looking into a Breast Reduction

WORTH IT
i outgrew a 32 H recently and everything is painful. i lay awake in pain because of my back, i have weird scars from underwire, indentation in my shoulders. standing up straight is very difficult due to pain. i can’t go without a bra for more than 10 minutes they’re heavy and very dense. i want to be a 32 C at least. it made swimming very hard. i often can’t lift weights due to the pressure of them on my chest. they may not seem that large but they are and they’re so uncomfortable. i’m joking to get surgery this summer. i started getting boobs in fifth grade, at first they were cute little B cups and i was self conscious about it but they were tiny, then they just kept getting bigger. i remember in 8th grade walking home from school and my bra snapped because i outgrew it. i’m constantly buying bras, they’re so expensive the larger your boobs get. i can’t find a place that sells both my band and cup size, it’s either one or the other. it’s very frustrating and ruins your self esteem.

Your breasts look almost identical to mine. My surgery is scheduled for June 7. I can't wait. I'm always in pain and getting horrible comments.

Thanks! I'm the same way with the baggy clothes. I'll come back and update you if you are still on the fence!

I had surgery 10 days ago! I was a 36 H/I, I bought my first bralette EVER - size L about equal to a 36C. I wanted to cry I was so happy. I’m so happy I got the surgery! I can’t wait to get back to the gym and start running! I’m definitely looking forward to having clothes that fit and to everyone not staring at my massive boobs instead of meeting my eyes!

Excellent! Don't let anyone tell you your "breasts aren't that big". If they are causing you pain then you have the choice to do something about it. Your breasts appear to be quite dense and you also have a fair bit of sagging, and trust me it will only get worse as you get older. I wanted a BR since my teens and it took me until last summer age 51 to make it happen. I could have avoided a lot of pain and suffering had I found a way to do it sooner. You will feel much better once it's done. DO be prepared that the healing can take a while (different for everyone of course) and your boobs may not look "perfect" when they're done but as long as you have realistic expectations you will be much happier. I can now ENJOY going braless most of the time or just wearing a stretch bralette, and I can wear a normal swimsuit for the first time since my early teens (I'm also a swimmer)!! Keep us posted on your progress!

omg thank you! i got a message from someone saying they didn’t look that big and they were still perky, like yeah but they’re dense and hurt so bad. i know they won’t look perfect right away, i would just like to be able to be comfortable in my body again and be able to breathe and sleep on my back, god it would be so nice to actually wear a swim suit that isn’t 90 dollars for just the top. i’ll definitely keep you guys posted! i’m a swimmer too, the extra pressure on my chest makes synchro very hard.

I feel ya, I'm just a casual swimmer but we moved to a place that has a community pool in the summer, and I have had to resort to wearing a black sports bra as a swim top the last few years as I literally could not find a top that would work with the amount of sag I had, it was ridiculous. After my surgery I went and bought a Tyr one piece with NO built in bra or padding and it is awesome for pool swimming. I prefer to wear a two piece outdoors and right now I'm a bit chubbier than I would like to be but I can wear a normal soft cup top with no underwire or pads and it is fine, I don't overflow it or fall out of it if I move. Also my breathing is much better, I can expand my ribcage not being corseted by a tight underwire and 4 hook bra band. It is truly life changing for anyone but especially those who are active and like to do sports etc. You will love the change!!

i wear the Tyr brand for my synchro suits which are awesome, i haven’t been able to find a two piece that fits my upper half since i was in 7th grade. i can’t wait to lie on my back and be able to breathe! 4 hook bras are the devil and are so uncomfortable.

I got a breast reduction 4 years ago at the age of 45. I experienced what you did. It is the best thing I ever done. I wish I had done it years ago. I love that I can buy bras and bikinis off the shelf. And actually can go without a bra! Don,t hesitate go for it. My healing was amazing. I was wearing a bikini 2 weeks later on holiday

Sweet, ensure to keep us informed, excited to hear more about your consultation. While I have never experienced back pain or stress (guess that is why I was in love with being busty for so many years). I can relate to outgrowing bras. I began at 32H (ironically, I had been wearing 36F (to avoid tugging, marking and digging into my skin) up until 1-day Pre-Op. Will you be conducting consultation with one or more PS? I consulted with two Top Doctor Board Certified Plastic Surgeons within my a 100 mile radius of my area on multiple procedures and then based on my research and 1on 1 with each I picked the right one for each procedure. Good Luck to you!

I had a reduction two years ago. It was so worth it. Honestly the pain was minimal, and the scars blend after time. I can go braless which I never could and to stand up straight is a blessing. Good luck!
