2.5 years post-op :-)

WORTH IT$3,300
So, I’m just about 2 and a half years post-op and I’m still extremely happy that I had this breast reduction surgery. My scarring is very light, and let me tell you, I’ve been enjoying a whole new world of clothing since I can go completely BRA-LESS, which was certainly out-of-the-question with the breasts I had before.
Once again, I would highly recommend this doctor (Dr. Peter Bray). If I had the extra money to spend, I’d see him for a Tummy Tuck too! :-)

You look wonderful! Now that the healing is over are you feeling good emotionally as well? I go for mine some time b4 this Christmas--Manitoba health care is so slow. I pray I look as perky and light as you when I finally get it done...how much did he remove? Do you find the drains made the swelling easier to handle?
Thanks! Your girls are lovely and I hope your enjoying the new tops and bras you can now wear! I can't wait!!
Blessings! :)
Thank you! I’m feeling great emotionally :-)... zero regrets about having this done. I love the freedom of going braless sometimes and not being embarrassed about my (previously) saggy boobs. I feel sexier naked too.

The drains that stayed attached to me helped with the swelling I’m sure, but I also remember having to actually get the surgeon to manually drain my right boob a few times after the attached drains were removed. It was a little painful, but only for a moment.

Best of luck for a safe and successful surgery! I hope you’re just as happy with your results as I am :-).
Thanks so much for the wonderful words of encouragement! It's so great that you are happy with your BR journey from every perspective! Oh how groovy to go braless and just be free!! I'm so fed up with the heaviness--it truly wears on you in every way.
I know this sounds odd but I hope I get drains if this means a better result down the line. Thanks for the tips on the drains!
I hope my surgery goes as well as yours and that I'm just as pleased as you with the results! You really look wonderful and natural--such an artistic surgeon--you got lucky--he does fabulous work!
Every woman deserves to be confident and comfort!
:) :)
Hello, you look great and thanks for sharing! Were you able to get this covered by OHIP?
Do you have any before pictures for us??

Just over two weeks post-op now! Much…

Just over two weeks post-op now! Much progress, but my right boob, which had been significantly more swollen and larger than the left, had to be drained via needle in my surgeon's office today.
I was there for my scheduled follow-up appointment with him, but I knew we were going to have to do that after some symptom-browsing on here. I know swelling and such is normal at this point, but my right boob was SO full and hard and swollen, I knew he'd be able to do something to help it out. The first needle went into a spot that still doesn't have much feeling to it as yet, so that was good. But the second spot he put a needle into, woah! I don't really have a grand pain tolerance though, so keep that in mind if you have to be drained via needle and are worrying about it! Lol
Anyways, it needed to be done and immediately my breast felt relieved, shrunk down in size (pretty much the same size as the left now), and is just a bit sore, but overall much better.
Also going to start using Bio Oil on my incision scars... Very excited about healing up nicely and seeing the real final results! Sometime down the road...

Got my staples out today! I was SO scared…

Got my staples out today! I was SO scared that this was going to hurt (esp after the painful removal of drains) but it was virtually painless! I was so relieved.

Just a wee bit sore still, but not too bad. I have more soreness in my back from having to sleep in the same position for a week and a half than I do from the surgery itself.

Also, my right boob was quite a bit bigger than the left after surgery, but now the swelling has come down quite a bit and they're almost perfectly even :-).

Very excited to watch the process of healing begin!

Do you still sleep on your back?
Yes, for sure. On my back, and on an incline (I bought a wedge pillow). It's still uncomfortable/sore to sleep on my side, but I didn't expect to at this point yet.
