How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

I didn't think I would be this happy this fast! I have been talking about getting a breast reduction for years now. Since I turned 30 and gravity has taken more of a toll, I felt like now was the time. I haven't been smaller than a DD since I was a freshman in high school so I didn't know how I was going to feel about going down to a D. I knew that it was best for me, but I did think I was going to have a small amount of remorse. Here I am 72 hours later and I feel great and am excited about moving forward.
The plan was to go to a D and then the morning of surgery Dr. Cox said I would probably go down to a C. I was fine with this because from what other people have shared with me who have had the surgery is that, after a year or so, you usually "settle" a little bigger than immediately following surgery.
My surgery was for 7am. I had to be there at 6:15am. Everything was timely and prompt. I had the surgery done at his office, so it was smaller and quaint. I appreciated the nurses and the anesthesiologist. They were thorough and clear about everything that was about to happen and told me that it would be smooth sailing.
The last thing I remember was laying on the operating table and then spreading my arms and me saying that I felt like Jesus Christ.
When I woke up, I was talking to the staff and asking where my family was. I think I surprised everyone because I was so communicative and independent. By 9:30am, they were helping me to the car.
Once I got home, I felt much clearer than I anticipated. I don't like taking pain meds. But they sent me home with nausea medication and pain medication. My parents were pretty strict about me taking the pain meds, but since then I have started to teeter away from taking them regularly.
I will probably stop taking the oxycoden and start taking ibuprofens today.
I'm not in much pain. I am just slightly uncomfortable and a little itchy. My doctor's nurse told me this is normal and I could probably take benadryl for the itchiness. She also suggested that the oxycoden might be the culprit in the itchiness.
I have my first post op appointment on Monday and am looking forward to what the doctor says and starting the recovery process.
