27 Y.O. Breast reduction 42DD to hopefully full C cup
I have had breasts as long as I can remember, but over the past year, I've had terrible upper back pain after losing weight but not losing breast fat. I was sent to physical therapy by my primary care physician to no avail and was then sent to a consult to Dr. Allen. He apparently has a great reputation among other doctors in the community for doing great work and also being cheeky :P
During my consult the doctor had a very dry sense of humor and took my measurements. He even took the time to explain to me how the surgery would be performed pending my insurance approval. Pictures and information was sent off to my ins. provider and I was approved 3 weeks later.
I originally scheduled my surgery for the end of February but the doctor had a scheduling conflict and now my surgery is March 2. Super excited! SN: I will be getting my underarm fat liposuctioned as well.

Got my blood work done today at the hospital. They will be using this to check my blood count and to see if there is any infection or something I should worry about. I'm getting nervous and want to know what I should be buying, other than scar cream and silicone sheets? I asked the p.s. about compression bras and he said I shouldn't get those until I start to heal a bit because they could cut off my circulation and make it harder for me to heal. Everyone on this site has a compression bra so I'm skeptical.

Hello! I am also going to see Dr Allen myself! I'm going for an augmentation instead of a reduction...Nothing here to reduce! Lol! Doc definitely has a dry and somewhat dirty sense of humor doesn't he?! I hope all goes well with your upcoming surgery! Best of luck to you!!

Wow, Thanks! Dr. Allen is a trip. I hope yours goes well also. I'll try to update here often as he does internal sutures vs stitches apparently.

He is pretty funny. Some have told me he's a pervert, but I guess I haven't sat with him long enough to notice that. To me he's just like a old man with a dirty sense of humor! I'll be praying for a speedy and great recovery for you!

Homeopathic medicines helped me a lot when I had Bell's palsy last year and I was given some more meds for the upcoming surgery next week. The meds in the blue tubes help with pain, bruising, and blood loss. I will start taking those 3 days prior to surgery and start rubbing arnica gel on my breasts and sides three days before as well. The calendula is the scarring after the wounds have started to close.
Thank you for joining us on your journey. I am so excited for you and know how much better you will feel. March 2nd is right around the corner:)
Do you have your support and recovery items all set to go?
Each doctor has their own treatment plan based on experience and technique. Always follow your doctors orders. There are some who request compression and others who don't. Have a deeper conversation with your doctor on why they say no to the bras.
