WORTH IT
Scars are doing great! They are still very much there, but it does not bother me. Scars from the sides are very discreet and barley show when wearing swimsuits but under the breast is more prominent. My surgeon let me know this will be the case so I’m not concerned. I still use scar tape from Amazon every once in a while, but it’s not something that I keep up with. It’s around $20 for a roll, not expensive at all. No pain but still a little anxious to fully put weight on my breasts.
Breasts have evened out so much and are both a soft round shape. The shape continuously gets better each day. Absolutely the best decision I’ve made!

7 Week Update
Last week I had my 6-week check up and I have no more restrictions - YAY! I can swim, exercise, run, all that good stuff :) I also sleep on my sides now. I was given the OK after 3 weeks but didn’t feel comfortable until this week. My breasts are also slowly getting less swollen over time. My right is still pretty swollen and feels firm compared to the left. So far i’m loving the results.
Starting this week I am implementing scar tapes that I purchased off of Amazon. My surgeon recommended them to help with the redness and raised incisions but a good portion of my incisions are healing beautifully. I am just starting the tapes to hopefully get an even better result. I didn’t go with Embrace because I don’t think I need them and they are very pricey. Posting my before scar tape photos here.

Thank you so much for these updates!!
Thank you so much for sharing!! I'm 10 years older than you, but I was so happy to find breasts that (pre-op) look really similar to mine. They're actually beautiful other than the fact that they're too big! That's my biggest hesitation right now. If I could just shrink mine I would, I'm worried the shape won't be as nice post-op. But yours look great, thank you again for sharing your experience!
I have this same exact hesitation and I could not agree more, this was very helpful
Glad it helped you too! The other one that spoke to me was Aylaab's surgery and pics. I decided, I'm going for it!!
So happy this helped you and that you decided to take the plunge!! I'm about 4ish months post-op and couldn't be happier. My breasts have a much more natural shape now and my scars are slowly fading. There was a period where my left seemed a bit more boxy. I'll post updated photos soon!
Is there any way you could do an update post with photos? I am on the fence of whether to take the plunge!
My size before was 32DDD and now I am 34C! I can post updated photos soon :)
Thank you!! You look great!
What was your size before vs now?

Week 3 Update!
Bruising is almost all gone and almost all my stitches are dissolved. I had 2 sutures removed today and it was painless. I have a few scab areas left around my nipple. My incision on my right breast has slight fluid leakage throughout the day so I still line my surgical bra with gauze each day. So far I am extremely happy and excited for what the next 3 weeks will bring!
