Breast Reduction - 22 yr old - 36DDD

Almost 6 week post breast reduction

WORTH IT
I feel off keeping y'all posted on the later recovery period sorry!!!
Here's some pictures on my recovery. I think I'm healing pretty well if I do say so myself.
For scar therapy, the doc has me using "SkinMedica Scar Recovery Gel". I place a micropore tape first then the gel, so it naturally releases it over time

Fantastic result. I’m amazed at the result of lollipop excisions. They always make breasts look puckered in the early days, but always seem to produce a fab final result. Neither of the PS I consulted even mentioned that as an alternative cut to anchor owl excision or whatever it called. Wishing you well.

Things you need before a BR - & update

I wanted to post things some that personally helped me through recovery that I wish I would've known about before
But first, heres a little update:
About a week after surgery I finally started to get "feeling" back. It's been weird. My left nipple has a different sensitivity. I've had surgery before (collar bone and jaw) so I know what it feels like to have some lost nerves. My left nipple feels like that right now. I can't tell if it might by heightened in sensitivity??? My right nipple seems fine to the touch (feels just like before surgery). But as I'm slowly getting more feel back in my entire chest area, I feel like my right nipple will randomly get really hard and I can FEEL IT!! I can feel my nipple on get hard and can feel it inside bra??? I'm horrible at explaining this, but I'm still not completely sure what I'm feeling yet lol. Maybe the right nipple is "hyper sensitive"? I'll bring it up at my 2 week post op appt on Wednesday.
Other than that, everything's been going swimmingly. I feel like I'm ready for these stitches to come out now!!!
GAUZE:
Search for "abdominal gauze" on Amazon. These gauze are the BEST!! The gauze in the picture are identical to the gauze my PS uses. No store had anything close to these. These gauze are padded, thick, and large. PERFECT FOR POST OP AFTER A BR!! They are the perfect cushion and size for your bra.
$10 for all of these - a stealllllll
Gauze can get expensive buying them from Walmart or Walgreens. You get that entire pack for $10, can't get any better
ARM CHAIR:
Get yourself an armchair. You're going to have to spend time laying around during recovery. Whether it's on the couch or in bed, this arm chair is life saving during the early stages of recovery. Trust me :)

If you're like me, your nipples will definitely get rounder!
Yay!!!
Nice size and shape. Your nipples will settle down after a while. You have a long ways to go for the finished product! For now just continue to take it super easy, it's really tempting to overdo it and cause yourself setbacks. Not worth it in the long run.
Thanks for sharing your post op experience and photos. Sorry to hear about your bruise ribs and constipation. Just remember this too will pass as healing is a process for sure.
