Dr.Gupta Gave Me my Confidence Back.

Being a breast cancer survivor and having had so many problems with several reconstructive surgeries, a friend suggested I see Dr. Anshu Gupta.
My first consultation with him was very comfortable. Explaining everything I had already gone through, he listened and understood. His way of explaining the procedure (SGAP) that would change my life forever, gave me comfort and hope. He was very sweet, compassionate , and above all attentive to my situation. After my recovery, I really could not believe how amazing I looked and felt. He was able to give me everything I had every dreamed of and more. His level of expertise and commitment to his patients gave me much more assurance than I had ever hoped for. Dr. Gupta really helped me regain my confidence.

Did you have Sgap from one or both butt cheeks? Are you happy with how your buttocks looks now? Did you need to get your buttocks reconstructed after Sgap?

Dclute - I had BILATERAL SGAP surgery almost 3 years ago. This left my donor site with not only huge shark bites, but also disfigured my infra gluteal folds (Dirty Diaper). Also, my butt cheeks were left clenched together and I can feel them 24/7. I have sought help from many doctors but to no avail with regards to correcting my disfigurement. I was told by several doctors that women never complain about their buttocks after SGAP because they are so happy to have breasts and do not care how their butts look. I did expect to have shark bites but they were suppose to fill them in during the 2nd surgery to restore my figure. I still have not found anyone with similar donor site disfigurement. I was not botched. This was deliberate and is celebrated among not only my surgeon, but other surgeons as a “successful” surgery.
This is information I have found regarding the PAP. Make sure you are aware if your Posterior Femoral Cutaneous Nerve (PFC) is at risk of being cut through which can make that area go numb. Also the PAP is known to defat the weight bearing tissue and is at risk to making your butt lose support (droop).
I know that you have to make difficult decisions, but I believe that breast cancer patients should have ALL the information in detail, both pros and cons, so they can make an informed decision that is best for them. There are no excuses as to why women are still not able to make informed decisions as it is very easy to spread this information, but it is not being talked about.
It has been my experience that doctors do not always have their patients best interests at heart and they are destroying lives because of it.

Thank you for sharing your experience and I'm glad it was a positive one! Would you be comfortable including before and after photos?
