My Experience from Mastectomy Through Restoration
UPDATED FROM ChinaDDoll
Finally Got it Done!
Today, I went in for my reconstruction. I'm still in a little pain and nauseous and can't wait to see the end result. I will update everything when I can type more. And right now, I have to keep this pink bra on with the bandages for 48 hours.

One Month post Mastectomy
So... I was able to remove most of the glue they applied to my incisions. Here is the latest. I found out I at least need radiation and chemo is pending so once that is all said and done, I will post what reconstruction looks like. Probably six months out though.

Prayers for you! Hopefully radiation is all you need. Please keep us updated.
How are you doing? I'm also 39 and had previous implants. I'm almost 3 weeks out from left breast mastectomy with tissue expander. Still don't know about chemo. This sucks.
I hope you’re doing great and getting the giant implants in protest, if that’s still what you want, lol!

Damn
Juggling drains were so hard. Even more difficult taking a shower. It was like this big process. They pulled everything finally but one site is infected and my boobs feel so tight. It's really hard to move all the way and still hard to take showers for other reasons. I have a hard time lifting up my left arm where they took the 12 lymph nodes. It's partially numb on that side and feels super weird to clean. Will I ever lift my left arm up again .. to even shave, or am I going to have to trim it haha
Yesterday I wasn't thinking and picked up my 7 y/o daughter without thinking. Man, that shit fucking hurt today lol I'm looking forward to some normalcy and then a full reconstruction.
My surgery for reconstruction is not scheduled yet because I need chemo and radiation. After that, the plastic surgeon from the hospital will then swap what I have now. 465cc. Looking forward to this to be over for sure. I almost want to implant gigantic implants just in protest of this! Like, fuck you cancer! I came out better on the other end lol or ridiculous lol

Haha! I hear ya. Those drains were a pain in the butt! Now a I know how guys feel with crap hanging around your loins! Showering was quite the ordeal and yes it does few super weird to be so numb and can’t move or even see under your armpits. I had expanders placed at the time of my surgery and I’m waiting to ha e them filled, but man I was thankful when those drains came out. I too, have a spot that isn’t completely healed, so hopefully it will finish healing and I can get on to happier times as well. Please keep us updated on your progress!
