Dr. Savalia is the Best

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer I was devastated ! When I was told I had to have a double mastectomy it was as if my world just faded away and I shut down! I was sent to see Dr Savalia as he was part of my breast cancer team! Prior to my visit I was terrified and apprehensive but when I walked into the office I was treated with the friendliest and most respectful staff of any doctors office I had ever been in! I was taken into a room immediately. Kacey came in and took vitals and asked questions and made me feel comfortable immediately. I thought to my self how lucky am I as she was so knowledgeable and compassionate. Next Dr Savalia came in and he immediately put me at ease as he has a very calming, compassionate and reassuring demeanor! He explained all aspects of reconstruction if I were to have a Double Mastectomy or what he could do if I Chose lumpectomies! He asked me about what size I wanted to be!! Of course I was overwhelmed, cried a bit but once again and in a calm voice he said this was something to think about and no need for an instant decision! I knew I was in good hands and walked out with a smile on my face; so different from the fears and tears I had walked in with! Everything was so thoroughly explained to me in regards to the expanders, how they would feel and what they would look like! After my DMX surgery I came to the office a week later for my first expansion! Amber was the member of his staff who would be doing my expander fills! Upon meeting her my fear of the 1st expansion disappeared! Once again I felt at ease immediately as I could tell she was caring and nurturing, answering all my questions! Giving me options to fill over time or week after week depending on my comfort level! Not once during any of my visits, either with Dr Savalia, Amber or Kacey did I feel rushed and believe me I asked a lot of questions, even remembering questions as either Dr Savalia or Amber was walking out of the room! Not once was I made to feel like I was asking anything silly or taking up too much of their time! And I can tell you I am not an easy patient!
Now that my surgery is complete, as I just had my exchange surgery, expanders replaced with implants and some fat grafting to even out some creases and divots, I have to say Dr Savalia and his staff go way beyond and get 5 stars +++++ - I would give 10 if that were an option!
