Dr. Basile in Jacksonville, FL is nothing short of amazing, professional and talented. Insurance (Tricare) covered everything because it's technically a reconstruction. All I paid for was my medication co pay and for all my comfy stuff for post surgery, I received moderate plus, smooth, round Sientra implants.
Left- smaller boob so I was given a 485cc Right- 435cc. He reduced my nipple size and since my released I noticed a dime sized spot of blood on both areas of my jacket. Nothing crazy, though I am hoping it's normal. I'm very light headed every time I stand up feeling as though I will pass out. Other than that I feel great laying down. Anyways, Dr. Basile is amazing and so far everything is good! I'll keep posting in the next few days. It was hard for me to find someone with a similar size and condition like me so I hope this helps someone like me!

Wow! Wondering how you had insurance pay? Because it's a tuberous breast?

I cannot even believe that insurance paid for this?! THANK you Ashley... I'm thinking the same thing... like it doesn't seem to be a medical NEED.... I just had a left breast mastectomy and tissue expander in and ready soon for implant. can't wait. that is how I stumbled onto this site. Learning and reading a lot

I cannot believe you feel the need to be rude and negative about this type of stuff. THANK YOU for your unwarranted opinion.

Six week update!

__Joypal
though this Monday is my update, I had my six week appointment today! My only problems I’ve had was a crazy, disrespectful stitch that wanted to pop out but other than that it’s been easy! I’ve worn a wireless sports bra 99% of the time. Started doing that around 2 weeks and supportive bathing suits at three weeks. I was cleared around five weeks to swim and and be in water and today cleared to work out as normal. My only worry, that was cleared up today, was this little area on the bottom of both breasts that had me concerned about a double bubble but I was assured today there wasnt anything to worry. She said that by month three, because of my condition, they will be slowly filling out the pocket. I will post a picture of what I am referring to. ANYWAYS, I’m super happy with my results thus far and will answer any and all questions anyone has!
