Sorry about your wound. Has your PS seen this yet? I know my own PS would not recommend putting steri-strips on a split suture or wound.. I had an opening in my t-zone from a split suture; and I was told to keep it covered with Aquaphor and a light dressing nonstick to keep the area moist. If you Google the words “ wound covered or uncovered “ you’ll see that current wound care experts advise keeping the wound moist (although not wet) and covered for quicker healing. This is opposed to the olden days where they used to believe that open air and oxygen was good for wound healing. Of course every PS has a different protocol and instructions for postop care. I hope this matter resolves soon. Good luck. :-)
