4 week post op
I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated but life happens. I went back to work on the 9th of July and let me tell you, I’ve been so exhausted. All I want to do is sleep.
Since my last update I’ve been able to stand up straight, squeeze into normal clothes, and even went out with my friends for a bit. But I’ve definitely learned to listen to my body and sit down when needed. I’m still very swollen at times and it is a definite source of my frustration. I know that it is a process but that doesn’t mean that I have to like it. I can also say that I’m sick of the faja lol. It is like that unwanted little sister or brother. It’s just there and nothing you can do about it. You either wear it to help control the swelling or do wear it and look like a pig. So I wear it. I’ve managed to get all of the foam in (3 pieces) and the ab board to help as well. When with the faja and all the junk I stuff in it, I feel like a pig but at least I know it’s doing a job.
My body is taking forever to absorb some of these sutures. I have about six in total that will not dissolve. I have cut the excess off and kept the skin dry and cleaned and still it won’t go anywhere. These six sutures are what’s keeping me from taking a much needed bath. Outside of that everything is healing quite nicely. My scars are very thin and flat on my tummy tuck and barely unnoticeable at this point. The scars under my boobs are a lil more raised but not by much. Once everything closes up I will start with my rose hip oil and bio oil regime along with the silicone strips.
I’ve been documenting my journey more on YouTube than here because I can do longer better quality videos there. Plus it is easier to show pictures and talk about what going on than typing it. So check out the videos which include pictures of my progress. My name on there is GaMom OfEight.

You look fantastic! I’m so glad you’ve returned to update. I just read your entire journey to catch up. Do you mind sharing what size and type implants you went with? Please excuse if I miss this info below. Also sorry to hear about the suture issues. Have you been able to follow up with your PS on what to do about them? In the Q&A here a number of doctors have mentioned that once dissolvable sutures hit oxygen they stop dissolving. Also once they stop dissolving they try to work their way out creating irritation In the tissue and skin. For this reason my own PS recommends keeping my incisions moist (but not wet) and covered for quicker healing. Google the words “wounds covered or uncovered” for more details on current wound care advice. A number of member here have also found Aquaphor helpful healing they’re splitting sutures. Good luck and wishing you the best!

I will be updating this weekend. But my suture issues went away. I was actually looking at my incision last night and noticed something sticking out. I grabbed my tweezers and pulled at it came right out. It was a suture that dissolved in the inside but didn’t fall out of the skin. My incisions have healed beautifully. My only issues at this point is my lipo areas. They still are tender and sensitive. And if I take my garment off for too long I still swell. It’s no fun.
My implants are Silicone high profile silk round 375cc.
