2 years in. JUST DONT go with Krau.

I’m very saddened to say that my breasts and nipples are completely destroyed after having surgery with Dr. Krau on 12/19/2020. I waited two whole years before writing any reviews on google, yelp or real-self and two whole years before reaching out to write my story, because I wanted to give it a chance to see if things would improve. I had great hope for improvement. I had full faith in Dr. Krau. I put my trust in his hands. But as you can see from the photos below, I am now living in a nightmare. Despite following aftercare instructions to a fault, my breasts bottomed out almost immediately, after 2 months or so. The nipples are embarrassingly high, I cannot wear a single top without a nipple slip and that’s HARDLY the least of it….
My nipples are completely butchered. They are lopsided, uneven, totally different sizes, the borders are sloppy and carelessly butchered. To top it off they are PERMANENTLY a very dark pigment that I never had before- my nipples before were much lighter (see before pictures). It’s is almost as if the blood supply got cut off during surgery or something, causing my breasts to turn a permanent dark purple. My breasts before were really not that bad compared to what they’ve become now.
This has taken a HUGE toll on my self-esteem. My ex pretty much abandoned me after seeing me naked. And now I am afraid to ever be intimate with anyone else ever again. I actually started dating someone new again and fell for him, but I had to end things because It can never go any further, not until this is somehow fixed.
I very deeply regret having surgery with Dr. Krau. But even in spite of how horrible my outcome is, I see countless reviews on here detailing absolute nightmares at the hands of Dr. Krau. Horrific stories of how Dr. Krau gave NECROSIS to multiple patients, losing a nipple, mortifying damage etc. Seems like he doesn’t give a shit about his patients and it’s really just a hit or miss with him. That’s why you see some well marketed results on his Instagram, whereas the horror stories run rampant on candid websites like realself, yelp, google etc.
My word of caution would be to avoid him at all costs. It’s just a hit or miss. Take a chance if you want to roll the dice…

3 week pics re-uploaded
I am re-uploading the pictures for 3 weeks post-op. They were strangely cropped in my first update, and couldn't get the full sized pics to upload from my phone. Here are the same photos uploaded from my computer.

3 week mark was the worst for me... incisions splitting, misshapen breasts, nipples different size, uneven healing and size of breasts- rt and left look totally different. Just a mess. Things have definitely calmed down over the last week and a half (5 weeks post-op on Thursday), and I'm more hopeful now that things will even out. Although my expectation was that the bandages would come off and I'd have perfect breasts, which clearly did not happen, my philosophy now is that it'll be fine or it'll get fixed. Keep your chin up

Hey girl I haven't been on here in forever but I've been thinking of you and had /have been really hoping you are healing nicely. Are you feeling any better about things now? I read your post where you said you are less than happy :( I'm sorry. It's so weird too that we both have retained areola but only on one side. I don't understand this. How are things going ? Please post updates whenever you can about what your specialist visit in NYC said. I would love to hear perspective from another surgeon. In the mean time keep taking care of yourself
