I am a mother of two children who are seven and, nine years of age. I am 28 years old, 6’1” in height.

Honestly, my current breasts look like pancakes. I breastfed both of my children for a year and, after my daughter was born I knew I was done having children and, wanted my old breasts back. Here I am almost eight years later finally having my breasts lifted and, done with implants.

I have chosen to have 400cc implants with my breast lift, lollipop style. I had two interviews with my doctor to make sure this was the right size and decision for me. During one of my meetings with Dr. Sajan we discussed the likelyhood of cancer development and, which type of implants were right for me. I decided against textured implants to reduce my chances of developing anaplastic large-cell lymphoma which is a type of cancer which has shown up predominantly in women with textured implants.

Tomorrow is the big day ! Tomorrow I am going into the OR at 11:45am. I am very excited !! I know it’s going to be hard so, in preparation I did several things. I got all my prescriptions ahead of time, I braided my hair into cornrows, got a laptop lap thing to use my laptop when I’m sitting up, set up a pillow palace on my couch to make sleeping easier, for some cheap bras, bathrobes, and sweat pants. I also waxed my arm pits, legs and, my pubic area. This way I don’t have to worry about anything when I can barely lift my arms after my procedure.

My doctor, Dr. Sajan, I did great research on to pick out. I wanted the best plastic surgeon around and, he’s the one I picked. I also tried out my size of inplants on an app called Natrelle and, loved how 400cc looked on me.

So far, I have had no cons but, my surgery is not until tomorrow so, tomorrow after my surgery I’ll post an update.

Yesterday’s Operation Day

Yesterday was awesome and no so awesome all in a mixed bag of experiences.
On the night before my surgery, I knew I would not be able to eat or drink before my scheduled surgery. So, I decided to make myself a protein shake, with lots of collagen and, a high dose of vitamin C. Drank a bunch load of coconut water and, then went to bed.
Woke up yesterday and I WAS SO EXCITED ! oh my gosh. I got my sweatpants on and, tried to keep myself busy by doing things such as cleaning and, making a place for me to sleep since I have to sleep upright I dubbed the pillow palace until my scheduled surgery time at 11:45am. We were told to show up 15minutes early around 11:30am so, at 11 we left for our scheduled surgery time.
I believe that the front desk at Dr.Sajans office is horrible at communicating. We get to the office at our designated time of 11:30am and, we are told we will have to wait an hour to have our pre-op appointment due to a previous surgery going on later. Which is no problem but we asked why they didnot call us to tell us to wait. They explained they were just about to call us to let us know to come in later however, that would be impossible because we were told to be there at 11:30am. They would have had to call at 11am not right when we talk in the door, on time for our appointment. Sigh.
I’m concerned about the quality of care and communication from the front desk I’m receiving at the point but, we decide to go to Costco to kill some time and, pick out even more food. (I did a bunch of Homemade food prep before for my boyfriend but, we wanted to grab a few more things that the house needed.) Then, we decided to hang out in the car in front of the surgery center after we were done with shopping. We watched some comedians and, the comedy helped lighten my mood a lot. Finally, it’s 12:30pm and, we go back up the surgery center to start going on my paperwork. I then remind the nurse I was told I could have a video of my surgery. The nurse says she does not believe that’s possible and, I’m going to talk to Dr.Sajan about.

Our nurse, delivered some bad news that we needed to bring our medications with us which was NOT mentioned to us nor in our pre- OP paperwork. I asked why this was never mentioned to me or mentioned in our multiple pre-OP meetings. She tried to show me that it was in our pre-op paperwork yet, she could not find it either so, I have her some constructive feedback to please make a point of that when talking with clients as I believed that to be very important to know.

Regardless of the second hiccup with the staff, they got me into my operation robe, disposable thong, hair net, compression socks and, booties. It’s about 1:30pm at this point. The nurse begins to take my vitals and, then, says my heart rate is 40BPM. Which medically speaking is very low, so, she takes my blood pressure which is also low but not as low as my heart rate. So the nurse takes my pulse manually and comes back with 43 BPM. So, she goes to get paperwork for me to initial as we decided on a new incision route (an anchor instead of a Lollipop.) She informed me she needed a pee sample for me which I was also upset about as once again, no one had told me that in advance and I went pee long before we went into the surgery center. I told her it’s going to be so hard to me to pee and, she apologized for the lack of communication.
She gives me a cup in the bathroom and asks me to even just dribble a little pee in the cup. I tried and tried and tried and could not pee. Finally, 5 drops came out. I gave it to her and, she was so happy we got anything (because I could not get anymore out since I had not had drink of water or anything for over 12ours.) The nurse did not tell me til after my test results came back and, I am not pregnant. I know by law they need to test for it however, I wish I would have known about the test and I could have told her that evoking pregnant anymore is very unlikely - almost impossible. The nurse added this to my chart and we went back to the private room where my boyfriend was waiting for me.

After paperwork, we take my vital signs again. Low pressure again (I’m an athlete) yet, my heart rate came up to 55BPM.

Dr. Sajan comes in and once again I feel at ease. He measures out my breasts and insured me that he was going to give me the very, very Service and surgery. I was the last surgery and he assured me I would be given the best service as he was not going to be rushed whatsoever. I was so thankful for Dr.Sajans experience and skill even in just that one meeting. He explained to me that the front desk was inaccurate about the video and unless we put it on his Snapchat’s we had no way to record it so, I was sad because I didnot want my surgery on Snapchat so, I would not have my naked body all over the web (on here it’s different as this is a document showing my journey.) So, I will not have a video - that I was assured I would have. Once again, I appreciated my doctor so much and didnot like the front desk at all.

So, it’s about 2:00pm still have had no water and food so, I’m feeling a little dehydrated. Around 2:40pm my anesthesia nurse comes in and, we go over my paperwork and medical history one more time. Then, he checks my BPM heart rate again so, he believes we may need to give my heart rate a boost to keep it up during surgery for safety measures. He answers all my questions and, then tells me we are in the home stretch and it should take not much longer. He tells me they will wake me up after the surgery to have me put I may clothes after the surgery while still under the influence of anesthesia so, not to worry about waking up in the OR. My breathing tube will no longer be in at that point.

It’s about 3:15pm when the nurse comes to grab me to go to the bathroom one last time before we go into the OR.

We go into the OR, very clean and, blue in there. As my anesthesia kicks in I fall asleep talking with nurses about where I’m from originally and other silly topics just to keep me lucid so they would know when I officially went under. When we were done, I wake up and, I am dressed so I have no recollection of being slightly awake to put on my pants, underwear or, bra (post-operation bra was provided by my surgeon.) The nurse told me I did the best she’s ever seen and, told me I did amazing. I was so happy to hear this ! I tried to go to the bathroom as there was a catheter in my body during the surgery and it felt like I still had to pee. Had my nurse walk with me to the bathroom album to try and pee because of the catheter I felt like I had to pee. But I didnot but when being loaded on medication I still was able to pull up my own pants ! I was really proud about that so, the nurse put me in a wheelchair to take me on the elevator down the stairs to Andrew to take me home.

When we got home, I was able to eat ! I was very happy about this !!! I had a carrot, blue berry zucchini muffin I had made before hand. As well as a mushroom broth that helped coat my throat a little. After dinner my throat slowly began to hurt from my breathing tube (finally- I’m glad I ate before it came back to a painful state) so, I had a spoonful of honey and, a hot tea to help. It did not help. I do not eat ice cream ever but I wish it wouldn’t have been so late and I wish I could have had it on hand. For all the preparation in the world it’s the one thing I chose not to do and wish I would have.

My boyfriend helped me get into my pillow palace on the couch and, we watched the newest episode of Grey’s Anatomy and, then I fell asleep.

You have to take medications consistently every 4-6 hours so, my boyfriend woke Me up to walk, take meds and I went right back to sleep everytime. Due to the catheter I woke up twice in the night to pee and my boyfriend helped me out of the pillow palace to do so. It was really nice.

However, I would say that if I did not have my boyfriend I would be screwed. It’s so amazing to have help with you along on this journey and, I am incredibly thankful him.

I am now out and I will post more pictures after my nurse removes my dressings in one hour as I am not headed to my first op appointment ! I cannot wait to see the girls !

Tape off - No more tape and the real care begins. Yes !!

Went and saw the nurse today for my first post-operation and, met with the doctor as well.
The meeting was late, which seems to be a theme with the office of Dr.Sajan. One of the women from the front office took me to a back room and, we took the tape off.
And for the first time I saw my breasts in the mirror and, I love them so much !
They donot look big at all !!!!!!!
They look a little smaller than what I used to have before children so that’s ok with me.
In all honestly, I was going for a more natural look as I run, swim, hike, rock climb, canyoneering and do many things outside.
However, as the years go on and this operation goes well, I may want to upgrade a size or two a decade or so from now. However, for now, even though they are not that big I think they are the perfect size for me !
I cannot wait to see results after the swelling goes down. I’m really happy thus far with Dr.Sajans work and care. He’s been wonderful so far. (Once again, not so much his staff.)

This is interesting he uses staples, how is your pain ? When I had my 2 c sections I had it done with staples first time around and had issues with pain and infection. But my second was with stitches, dissolvable, and everyone said it was nice and It 100% was.

Hey Brave2728 !
As of yet, the staples have not bothered me. I will have them for two weeks. However, the nurse warned me I might be sick of them by the end of the week. The only con I’ve noticed so far is when I took my first shower I was instructed to put ointment on my breasts and even though I did so gently it did cause nausea for a moment. I’m being very careful to have staples stay where they are and not snag my bra if possible. So far, so good !
