I Love my New Boobs :)
Where do I begin….I am currently 4 weeks post op. I was really unhappy with how my breasts looked after loosing so much volume from weight loss. I spent years of my life with fuller breasts, I developed breasts really quickly whilst hitting puberty and my breasts had been reduced from a G cup to a C cup after loosing weight. I also had a slight asymmetry which was a lot more noticeable after the weight loss.
I researched online for weeks and weeks and made the decision to book a consultation with Elena. I loved the fact that Elena is a woman and I couldn’t find one negative review about any of her work. I was extremely nervous but also so excited to meet and discuss with Elena. When I met Elena she explained that I had a lot of skin elasticity due to weight loss and we agreed that a lift with smaller implants rather than larger ones would suit me.
A few weeks later I decided to take the plunge and discuss booking in the surgery! I was able to secure a surgery date and pay the deposit shortly after. I am a person who suffers with bad anxiety and was quite frightened to go through with the surgery but knew that I really really wanted to improve my breasts. I was really unhappy everytime I had to remove my bra and avoided relationships due to my self esteem, it felt like my life was on pause.
During my second pre opp appointment I discussed in more detail the procedure that Elena had planned for me, we decided that 200CC - 250CC would be the best implant size for me depending on how things worked out during theatre.
Approximately 4 weeks later I turned up at 6:45am at the gorgeous North Bristol Private Hospital ready to go into surgery. I was nervous about being put under anaesthesia as this was my first ever surgical procedure, everyone I spoke to was reassuring me that everything would be fine and they were absolutely correct. My anaesthetist was very calming and friendly and made me feel so at ease. Walking into theatre was a little daunting but within a few minutes I was asleep. I woke up feeling so comfortable and was offered pain relief immediately.
Once I came around I was taken to my private en-suite room which was gorgeous, it was like a luxury hotel room! The nurses and staff who looked after me were delightful, very kind and helpful. Throughout my stay anytime I was experiencing discomfort I was offered pain relief. The pain was not half as bad as I had anticipated.
My Mom was then able to visit me an hour later and she couldn’t believe how well I looked, I was awake and alert. I was given tea and toast which felt like the best food ever after having to fast!
Elena then came to check on me a few hours later, she told me surgery went well which was really reassuring. Then I was able to rest for the rest of the evening and into the night, the nurses were amazing helping me to the loo whenever I needed a hand.
The next morning I was given the all clear. Elena also came to see me and she removed my surgical bra and showed me my new boobs! I actually still can’t believe how different and amazing my breasts look. I could never have imagined they could look this good. I still feel like I’m dreaming!
Day 3 was the worst day so far for me, swelling was a lot which was causing my chest to feel tight. Also getting a bit of a burning sensation in my left breast around the nipple area.
The only really discomfort that I experienced so far is constipation due to the pain relief medication. Other than this the healing process has been great.
I then had my checkup with nurse Rose at the hospital 7 days later. She was very kind and friendly, told me that my healing looked very good.
I have attached some before and after images to show the drastic changes.
I can’t honestly believe how minimal the pain has been for me. I really thought that this surgery would be a very painful recovery but it has been great.
I am due to have my 4 week check up this week which will be nice to have reassurance that I’m recovering well and everything looks fine.
I would highly recommend Elena. I am very happy that I chose a great surgeon :)
