I started this journey in August of 2019. I went to 5 in person consults and one video consult before I decided Dr Giles. I really liked his personality, honestly, staff and fair price, so I decided to go with him. I booked the appointment about 85 days out, due to my work schedule. Holly took care of everything for me, and made the process super easy. I even saw her in the room as I was about to have my surgery, which put me at ease.

I had originally wanted small implants with a full anchor lift (the lift had been recommended at every consult I went to, so I knew it was necessary). But a few months before, I decided I wanted to go a little bigger and Dr. Giles was happy to meet with me again, to be certain of my wishes. He was very honest with me up front saying because of the lift I needed, he would not be able to fit in gigantic implants (or else there would be risk of them healing properly), but he said he would go much larger than we originally planned, and I was very happy with that.

A few weeks later I had my pre-op with Shelly, and she was fantastic, going over every question I had, as well as the do’s and don’ts before surgery. I had the option to see Dr Giles again, but since I had just seen him, I felt confident enough to wait until surgery day.

Because I booked so far ahead, it took forever for my surgery date to get here, but it was SO worth the wait! I was lucky enough to get the first appointment of the day, and Laura took amazing care of me, especially calming my nerves. The anesthesiologist was wonderful, and Dr Giles was also calming before the surgery. I had an IV with fluids put in and 1 mg of versed, and was wheeled back into the surgery suite. The last thing I remember was breathing oxygen, and getting into my boyfriends truck. Laura took great care of me during recovery, and the Dr came to check on me, but I don’t remember any of it!

I made my boyfriend stop for jupiter donuts on the way home (clearly my appetite was fine!) I stayed on top of my pain meds and I was surprised at how well I felt, I was expecting the pain to be so much worse. I am so happy I went through the procedure, and I know I chose the right location and Dr!

Day two

Day two was slightly more swollen/ painful then day one, but all in all I have had toothaches that were worse. I woke up in the morning, iced and took an 800 mg ibuprofen and a Percocet and relaxed. I had a coffee with some collagen in it, and some eggs and and English muffin for breakfast. Throughout the day I also had a protein shake and some BCAA’s. I’m not really sure if they’re helping, but I don’t think they can hurt. In addition to my antibiotic, I also take a pill form of arnica to help with swelling and bruising, as well as eating pineapple. I think I also took one Valium during the day to sleep.

I had my post op appointment at 1 pm and although I hadn’t felt nauseous at all so far, the drive there and back made my stomach really upset, so when I got home I took a zofran. The nurse undid my bandages and Dr Giles came into check on me. He asked if I remembered anything of the recovery room yesterday (which I didn’t) because apparently I just kept asking him over and over again if everything went ok. They wrapped me a little and put me in a bra, said I was ok to shower now, but I decided I just wanted to get back in bed and try that tomorrow. He ended up putting in 335 mentor silicone in each breast, which I am happy with. They are very big and swollen now, which he said is normal. I’ll continue to ice them and just wait for them to drop. I was so nervous going into it, but I’m so happy I made the decision to do it! Next appointment is in a week, and I’m to take it easy until then. No getting my heart rate or blood pressure up as it can cause bleeding. I’m a daily gym goer and that is going to be the hardest part for me!

Day 3

Day 3 I was feeling even better. Pain is pretty minimal, it’s mostly swelling/pressure that I feel. I finally took a shower today, and it felt wonderful. I pretty much relaxed around the house while my boyfriend went to the gym, and when he came home we went to Panera for lunch. I got a soup but only really had the appetite for half, so I took the rest home for dinner (bonus!).

My mom works in a hospital and had sent me some post op bras to wear, but they were too uncomfortable and tight. I had found a zip up sports bra at Walmart (recommendation by someone on here, so thanks!). I wanted to get a few more and walk around Walmart just to get out of the house, but honestly after about 15 minutes I was just done. It’s crazy because I think I feel fine, but when I try to do anything I’m completely whipped out. Anyways, I was a very deflated 36 B before surgery and I need the XXL in these sports bras now (in case I didn’t say it already I got 335 mentor XHP in both). We tried to buy the XL sports bra and the zipper wouldn’t stay.

All in all, I’ve had very minimal break through bleeding, when I change my gauze there is just a tiny bit of blood. I’m still taking my meds, arnica, collagen, protein, BCAA’s, and I’m switching between rubbing a cooling Arnica gel and a Boobie Butter I purchased from Eden Knows Implants. She’s a great site to follow if you’re considering implants, and she has her own Facebook group balled Bustmob which had helped me so much in the process! The photo posted is of me in the bra from Walmart, it’s comfy and easy to get in and out of. The brand is Avia. Happy healing everyone!!
