I’m In Love!
WORTH IT$12,500
I’ve had boobs since I was 7 and most of my life I’ve been a DDD or bigger. Gravity has slowly taken hold, but after losing 45lbs, I lost a lot of volume for the first time in my life and they looked super deflated. So after years of research and dreaming, at age 46 I finally pulled the trigger with zero regrets!
I chose Dr. Jones a long time ago, and finally did a consult in December, getting scheduled for March 25, 2026. I knew I needed a full lift and wanted to round out the top with a small implant, and Dr. Jones agreed. But because my chest wall is so broad, I had to get a little bit bigger implant. He said the smallest I could go with for my width was 360cc, but he would remove a little tissue so I wouldn’t be too big. I totally trusted him because I’ve seen his work IRL and this man is an artist! He recommended a full lift with 360cc subglandular Motiva Round Smooth Minis, so that’s what I got. I also had a little axillary lipo to shrink that little pudge where the breast tissue meets the armpit.
I have friends who have done this before so I got all their advice and prepped well before surgery. Must haves: wedge pillow set, ice packs, button front pajamas, lots of button front shirts, surgical bras, gauze, all the prescribed meds, and someone to do all your household chores for 4-6 weeks.
Surgery was on a Wednesday so I took off the rest of the week and returned to work on Monday, but I have a desk job so working within my limitations wasn’t too bad. I think going back and having to move around instead of lying in bed helped with the swelling tbh, but I do think a full week of rest might be better.
The first few days the swelling was insane and my chest felt super tight but not really painful. The most painful thing was where the lipo was done. I did not have drains, and no steristrips because I’m allergic to latex tape. Instead, at my next day appointment they told me to use bactraycin 2x a day. So my new routine was to shower in the morning with Cetaphil, pat dry, apply the bactraycin gently, and cover my incisions with gauze before putting on my surgical bra. At night before bed I reapplied the bactraycin. I applied ice packs for 20 minutes at a time twice a day to help with swelling. I also used arnica gel on my bruising being careful to avoid the incisions.
On day 13 I had sudden stinging pain on the side of my right breast so I called the office and they worked me in immediately. Turned out to be nerve pain and I MIGHT have made it worse by reaching out too far the day before with my right arm. So they did my 2-week exam since I was already there and Doc said everything looked great and I could start using scar cream in 5 days. The gabapentin I was prescribed preop has helped the nerve pain since then as the nerves heal and regenerate. And being more careful limiting my movements!
All bruising subsided within a week, then around day 17 a new bruise showed up. I sent a pic to the nurse and she responded very quickly to let me know as long as there was no pain or swelling it was fine.
I’m now 21 days post-op and LOVE them so much! And I have the best view from the top, no more stretch marks from lost volume, just beautifully rounded perky boobs with perfect cleavage! Still having some nerve pain (still taking the gabapentin and advil), still wearing a surgical bra all the time, but I’ve started using scar cream. I have found that continuing to use gauze is more comfortable so I’ll do that for a while. Also, I tried scar tape but by the end of the workday it was very uncomfortable so I do not recommend.
Still swollen and lumpy where the lipo was done, but doing some massage daily and it’s getting better everyday.
Btw, when driving/riding you def notice every little bump in the road, so I recommend putting a pillow between you and the seatbelt to support under the breasts. I use a lumbar pillow, it’s perfect!
I’ll update as healing progresses to share how the scar cream is helping.
