I wish I would have done this update sooner. Finally sleeping more than just one to two hours at a time. I'm sleeping about 4 hours at a time now. I am taking Norco and Ibuprofen to help the pain. Only the taking the Norco every 6 to 12 hours instead of every 4 hours now. I have been taking the ibuprofen every 8 hours to offset the pain. The pain and tightness and burning sensation is going away but I have been pushing it and not taking it as easy as I should. Sleeping elevated is hard so I have been sleeping on my back very lightly elevated on a couple of pillows. I asked for a tranquilizer to help me sleep but they don't want to prescribe that on top of pain pills which is understandable. I've showered twice. The first shower was 3 days post-op and the second shower was last night where I got to wash my hair.
I will start taking pictures of my boobs and uploading them.
I've changed the gauze out each time I showered but the steri strips are staying on. I have lollipop anchor incisions. My breasts are swollen and getting more bruised. I was finally able to poop yesterday and that alleviated the most pain that I've had. The medicine and anesthesia will block you up. I've been opening doors and lifting higher than I should and opening the microwave which is causing the pain for me. I have had health everyday but there are a few hours in between helpers where I'm on my own. I am supposed to be up and walking every couple of hours so I do laps around the living room and kitchen. I am very happy I went through with this surgery, my surgeon is amazing. My follow-up appointment is 1 week post-op this upcoming Thursday. I will take pictures and upload them. I am still in the recovery bra that they provided at the hospital. I have only taken it off for the 5 to 10 minutes during the showers I have taken because I was told I need to keep it on all the time. I would like to purchase new recovery bras but I will have to wait to see what they say. I am excited for Thursday, my follow-up appointment.
I'm trying to include pictures but I guess the attachments are too large to upload....

Surgery day
NewtitswhodisDecember 7, 2021
My surgery date was on December 3rd with Dr. John Y Kim. I opted for a breast lift with implants. I got mentor gummy bear silicone high profile implants. I am naturally a 38b and I got 700cc implants in each breast. I told my surgeon that I did not want them to look natural and that I wanted them perky. I feel my surgeon really listened to what I had to say and gave me exactly what I asked for. My man and I liked him instantly at our consultation with him. I had no hesitation about scheduling the $14,000 procedure with him. I got a call December 2nd at 5:00 p.m. telling me my surgery was scheduled for 11:20 a.m. I asked him was told that I was his second surgery of the day. I had my bag packed already with a breast augmentation pillow to avoid discomfort with the seat belt as well as my glasses slippers and a pajama set with a buttoned up top. I arrived at the women's hospital at 9:00 a.m. as instructed. I changed into a gown, hospital socks, and a hair cap and had to take out all of my jewelry. I took out my nipple rings and my clit piercing just in case. I then had to do a urine test for them to check if I was pregnant. A nurse inserted an IV into my hand. I waited in the hospital room and spoke with the
different nurses who explained everything from anesthesia to my surgery and I asked any questions I had until about 11:00 a.m. when my surgeon came in. He drew on my chest and answered further questions I had for him. He is a wonderful surgeon and I trusted him right away at my consultation 4 months prior. They took me back to the surgery room around 11:30. I hardly remember being wheeled back to the surgery room but I do remember it was freezing and they put a warm blanket on me. I counted down from 5 and the next thing I knew I was awake. When I woke up I had my surgical bra on and I was elevated in a different room. To be honest I was in enough pain to make me cry so they gave me more pain meds through my IV as well as anti-nausea medicine. I was hungry because I couldn't eat after midnight the night before. I had two large glasses of water, apple juice, and two little cans of Sprite. I also ate two packages of saltines, some graham crackers, and one Oreo. The nurses were surprised at how alert I was after waking up. I was very high strong and ready for my man to come see me but he had to wait until the second phase of my recovery to come in the room. I got to see him about an hour after I woke up. He had filled my prescriptions at the pharmacy in the hospital and stayed with me in the room for about an hour before I convinced the nurses to let us go home. I was still in quite a bit of pain but the nurses had to switch me from IV medicine to pain pills. The nurse explained I would be taking Norco and taking ibuprofen in between two offset the pain. At first I was taking the Norco every 6 hours and then I started taking it every 4 hours for the first 3 days. Now I am going in between 6 and 12 hours with the Norco on days 4 and 5. On top of that taking an antibiotic three times a day, and anti-inflammatory, a stool softener, and an anti-nausea pill if needed. My doctor wants me up and walking every couple of hours to help the healing and get blood flow going. But at the same time I can't do anything strenuous or get my heart rate up. The second question I asked the nurse was when I could have sex and she said 4 weeks! Talk about rough.... I had a 3-hour car ride home and I felt every bump on the way there. I was in a great amount of pain and so ready to be home. Trying to sleep elevated has been very hard and for the first 3 days I did not get more than one or two hours of sleep at a time. On day 4 I finally got 4 hours of sleep at a time and I felt so good. I did have to sleep straight on my back though and it hurt when I got up without my man to help me up by supporting my back. My man has been trying not to let me lay flat but it's the only way I do get sleep. It's also hard for me to sit still and I have been doing more lifting and pushing than I should be. I asked to be prescribed a relaxing medication however they don't want me on that mixed with pain meds which is understandable. I have been doing my best to stay still and let others help me even though it is very difficult. I didn't poop for the first 3 days and that was very painful. I am now on day 5 and my bowels are moving. The pain is getting much better. On day two I had shooting sharp pain in my nipples and while it sucked I think it is good because that means I didn't lose all sensation in my nipples? Now my breasts are starting to itch, which, I believe is a sign of healing. I am instructed to wear my post surgery recovery bra 24 hours a day so I haven't taken it off for more than the 10 or 15 minutes that I'm in a shower. I was able to take a shower on night three as long as the water isn't directly hitting my breasts. My man helped me change out the gauze and the stairy strips are staying on my incisions until my one week follow-up on Thursday. I have a lollipop anchor incision. My boobs look weirdly shaped and are bruising but from what I have seen on here that is pretty normal. I am looking forward to them healing and getting to enjoy them soon!
