I did it!!!

After having my 2 kids 23 & 25 years ago I wanted to have my lovely lady lumps upgraded and thought about it off and on for SO long! Lol...I wanted them done so bad after breast feeding for 17 mo ea. (25 years ago). I was a single mom after my youngest turned 1 and for all of those years never felt I could put my hard earned money into myself. I always felt selfish to spend money on me knowing I had bills to pay and kids to take care of. Giving them the best life with no help from anyone else. Fast forward...I'm 49 (quickly approaching my big 5-0!) yikes!!! I've saved and done well for myself & decided it was time.
I researched A TON, spending endless hours on RS stories, before & after, Google searches, looking at numerous drs websites and ended up consulting with 3 dif well sought after Dr.'s in the Greater Seattle area, consulting with them in office and asking a lot of questions 2 of them I consulted with twice as I wasn't sure? Because of the length of time in between I had to go over all of the info with them paying again for another consult which was well worth it. I talked to others that had theirs done or knew of friends that did picked one that I really liked. I end up booking a surgery date, paid for it and then Covid hit our home. I had to cancel & freaked myself of reading about the cons and scary parts so I backed out, canceled got the majority of my money back. I started obsessing over the thought that this was something I had wanted to do for so long, why was I waiting? We only live once and I had wanted this so badly! I decided to go for it but re-booked with the Dr. that I initially really wanted to go to. The price deterred me at first but realized it was worth it! Knowing I've been waiting 1/2 my life to do something for me that I had always wanted to do it I found myself scheduled within weeks (dr had a last min cancellation which was not expected as he books out months in advance, but just enough time to do pre-Covid, pre-op and prepare) of deciding to move forward again! No turning back now!!
I had my surgery on this past Monday, Dr.Martin Luther King's birthday. 2021. I'm still recovering from Mastopexy & augmentation. Dr Shahram Salemy did my procedure & I'm SO happy I did it for myself & with him & his wonderful staff!
He is very professional, and soft spoken but straight forward. He doesn't try to tell you something you want to hear he gives you his professional opinion but tries to meet you in the middle & gives you options that make sense.
His staff, Rebecca, Carly (who took care of my sizing, post-op after care - super sweet!) Brittany, the Anesthesiologist, and pre-op nurse Robin all made me feel so at ease. Dr Salemy talked to me about doing 285 'cc but we went with 305' cc moderate profile silicone, since I pushed it a little. I wanted fullness and a little fluff for the girls as I always wanted to be a little bigger. :)
I can't wait to see the actual end result but so far so good! Happy 50th to me!!!
Will post more pictures soon!

I bet they will look great! You had plenty of natural breast tissue congrats and happy 50th! I have 3 little kids my youngest (and last child) just turned 6 months old I am back to my pre pregnancy weight I really want to get mine soon with dr salemy. Do you know how long until I can lift my baby ? I have been considering implants with dr salemy for several years back then the quote was around 13k just for implants at this point I will definitely require a lift too as well. Can you give an estimate on how much it cost for your mastopexy & augmentation?

Hi! I'm sorry to just be getting back to you now. They do look great & I love them! I'm a little over 10 weeks now. I should post updated pictures. I would say only the dr can tell you, but they suggest no lifting more than 10lbs for 6 weeks. You have to be really careful not to do too much at first. Even loading & unloading dish washer, putting and pulling clothes in and out of the dryer, washer. I had a puppy that was heavier than 10 lbs and accidentally picked him up 2 weeks after surgery and felt that. I paid a little over $15k for my lift & augmentation. You have to consider meds, hopefully ins covers, was still about $100, missing work, bought a couple of wedge pillows for bed & silicone scar gel was $100.00. I went from deflated B cup to a nice full D cup & am happy. I feel like I could have gone a little bigger lol!! I think most people say that! :) Best of luck in what you decide! You'll love them!!

I have my lift surgery coming up with Salemy. How is your healing going? How are your nerves healing? I appreciate your feedback!
