Breast lift with implants in Colombia

WORTH IT
I had a breast augmentation in 2012 but felt the augmentation didn't fit my body. Ultimately I was right as when I went on to do a few consultations it turns that my implants were too wide and had no projection. They were just too big siting mown and because they looked so natural I would have to wear a push-up bra and in turn making them look BIGGER!
Here comes Dr. Javier Soto to my life. I met with Dr. Soto's team virtually and corresponded via WhatsApp. I live in New York and Dr. Soto is in Cartagena, Colombia. Before jumping on my results a few things to note on my experience when making a decision to travel out of the country for cosmetic surgery.
- Dr. Soto's team was available to answer all of my questions independent of the time I reached out (this is important to me!)
- I had a virtual consultation with Dr. Soto at length prior to selecting him as my doctor
Onto my journey
- I landed a few days prior to my surgery. His team picked me up at the airport and took me to what you would call a recovery house. However, it's important to note its a beachfront condo walking distance to everything, security, etc. all amenities you would have at any hotel. Full kitchen with a housekeeper/cook that's with you up until dinner time. They cook, clean and even do your laundry! I loved the person assigned to me as didn't feel lonely (I was traveling solo which speaks volumes of how comfortable I felt with Dr. Soto and team). My food choices were all based on my preferences and keeping in mind a diet that helps with recovery. I went back home with zero dirty clothes too and because I was alone they were so nice to take me around so that I can enjoy some sightseeing and local culture while there.
- I also had a consultation with Dr. Soto in person prior to locking in my surgery. Also very important to highlight because you just want to be SURE. Consultation went with flying colors and I was happy and comfortable and we locked it in.
- Surgery time...what can I say? Easy does it. Dr. Soto's team was with me from beginning to end. Then comes Dr. Soto to check in on make sure you're holding up okay marks u up and off to the surgery room you go. Once back in my room I had a nurse waiting for me (the sweetest nurse may I add!) and had the most delicious chicken soup for me to eat before going to be (if u don't eat u won't sleep) oh I ate but I was groggy and she fed me (omg to be coddled like a baby ha ha). I had my post appointments with Dr. Soto and the nurse stayed with me for four days to look out after me. I mean talk about Dr. Soto wanting his patients to have the upmost care.
- Surgery results ... in love. I mean the perkiest of boobs and nicely rounded even though early stages you can already tell they are going to be beautiful. SCARS! Okay not going to lie I thought I would faint when taking off the surgical tape but the best way to describe my scars is like having a paper cut. I could cry of happiness.
- Back in the states - I've stayed in touch with Dr. Soto's team and Dr. Soto himself (direct number). We have had video chats so that he can asses results and continue to let me know next steps etc. Luckily I have had 0 complications have followed all post operative instructions to the T and don't forget I had to fly back which I was terrified but Dr. Soto jumped on a video call the morning of my flight to again reassure me and give me instructions on what to do and what not to do.

Thanks for the review. How long did you have to stay in the recovery resort? How much was ur procedure and resort all together? Did you have to go for lymphatic drainage massages? What kind of garment did you wear? Were you given pain killer meds and how often did you take them for pain? How long did you have to go without lifting your arms? Were there stitches left in place and did they fall out by themselves or did you have to wait for Dr Soto to take them out?

To answer your questions: - seven days post operative but did arrive a few days prior to my surgery - no need for lymphatic drainage massages for my surgery - surgical bra that was provided - yes and didn't need them - Tylenol was plenty - I was advised not to raise my arms until one mont post op so long as I was recovering well - there was stitches that needed to be removed which I took out when back in the state's at a clinic (was quick and painless) and do have dissolvable stitches Hope this helps!

Hi! (: what was the total price for everything? Surgery & recovery resort?
May 19, 2020
Between 4-5k if you factor in your flights and miscellaneous expenses (should go shopping or sightseeing etc.). Cartagena itself is very inexpensive. PS I wouldn't call it a recovery resort as other people non surgery related lodge there as well. Think of it as condo building that caters same as any other hotel. It's a beachfront property and the condo has a pool.
