I’ve been thinking of having my boobs done for a long while. I had two consultations back in 2014, however I wasn't ready to take the plunge and deal with the scars associated with a lift. I had narrowed it down to 3 PS's. I called and made an appt with both Dr. Rose and Dr. Ciaravino. Both office attendants were quite cold and rude to begin with. I was also told that Dr. Ciaravino was too busy to see patients for consultations, and that I could have a consultation with his nurse and if I chose to go forward Dr. Ciaravino would see me at pre-op. I found this to be ridiculous and made me feel like just a number in a factory line.
My breasts were a DD by the time I was 14. Then they grew to DDD by 18. I was an athlete all through highschool and I was a triathlete in college. Then I stopped working out the way I did, and I noticed my breasts had sagged from all the running and poor support bras. I gained some weight after college, and this year I lost 20 lbs and got back to my ideal weight. This just made the sagging worse. I'm very petite, and they looked deflated without a bra. Finding a bra for a 30 DD/DDD was nearly impossible. I hated how they spilled out of bras and I couldn’t wear anything backless or low cut. Bikinis were a nightmare. My self confidence took a real hit when I had sex with my husband. He was always loving and supportive, saying they looked “great” , but I felt different when I looked in the mirror.
I went to Dr. Paul Gill in The Woodlands where I'm from because I had read fantastic reviews about him, and his patient’s reviews on this site. I went in for my consultation with him on April 30th. All of his staff made me feel so welcomed and safe. Doctor Gill was kind, knowledgeable and answered all of the questions I had. I described the look I had always wanted. I told him I wanted the augmented look with ultra high profile, round cohesive implants. He listened to me and said he would do what we could to get me there, but explained the reality of doing a big lift like that and how to remain practical and expect a realistic outcome. He explained that he refused to do implants over the muscle, because as we all know unders are much safer and cause less complications. He also stated before he measured my ribs and my chest, that he would only go up to a CC that he felt wouldn’t create too large of a breast for the chest plate and body size. After measuring me he said he wouldn’t put in anything above 650 cc but that the size I choose was up to me as long as it was 650 or below. I tossed the option of 615 vs 650 around for a few days.
Due to the fact that I was starting out with so much breast tissue, it was impossible to tell what cup size I would come out with. He said he expected to remove as much tissue as possible, leaving me with about a C or small D cup before inserting the implant. During my consult he said in order to get my boobs as high as I wanted them, he would need to do an anchor lift. I had to either have more scars or sacrifice height and fullness. So because my husband is so loving and supportive, knowing he wouldn't care about more scars, I agreed to the anchor lift.
I was incredibly fortunate to go into their office when I did because they had someone reschedule their surgery date, leaving me with a possibility to get in 10 days from my apt date. He normally books 2 months. So I went home and spoke to my husband and we agreed it was great timing because I would be able to have my 6 week post op right before we go on vacation in Riviera Maya in June, then Cabo San Lucas in July.
I knew immediately when I met Dr. Gill and his staff that I found the doctor for me.
I'm sharing this journey because when I was doing my research I didn't see many women who were similar in body structure, weight, etc who had a lift and wanted the ultra high profile augmented look. I'll update as I go through recovery.

You look great!! I also wanted the rounded high profile augmented look. I'm 2 months out and absolutely love them!! I would not have done anything different. Good luck with your recovery, can't wait to see updates!

Glad I’m not the only one! How many CCs did you have put in? When did you start feeling like yourself again?

I’m so happy for you! Do you mind Sharing how much your surgeon cost was? Not including anesthesia and surgery center.

All total was $9,000. I believe my surgeons fee alone was $6,000. Anesthesia was $3,000.

Hubby has to help me shower as I can’t move my arms still but here are some pictures as to where I’m at. I feel like I have frakenboob right now. Also, excuse my fluffiness on my stomach.
