breast lift w implants turned into nipple death

I have been planning to get a breast lift with implants for about a year. I researched all the different places. I looked into going to Beverly Hills, flying out of the country, and going to Miami. It seems to be the place where people go to get Plastic Surgery. I came across CG cosmetics on Instagram. I started looking at their photos and noticed that some of the pictures they have looked really good. Specifically from Dr. Krau.
I did research here on this site and others and seemed that he had really good reviews so I felt confident and went ahead and contacted them for a consultation. I’ve never experienced booking surgery the way that they do. They have you talk to her surgery coordinator to figure out what you want and how much you’re going to pay and all of that. You don’t actually have a consultation with the doctor himself. Everything is done via text message or email. So the coordinator Rosie pestered me daily and told me I needed to put down a deposit or else the price was going to go up. So I went ahead and put down a $1000 deposit. Within a couple of days, she told me I had to pay for the surgery in full. So I went ahead and did so. I booked the date of my surgery for February 8. She sends me all of the pre-op paperwork and bloodwork and everything I needed to do to get ready for my surgery. Just about a week before my surgery date they called me and tell me that they bumped my schedule up and moved my surgery date to 7 February. Luckily I booked my flight on the sixth to come into town because this could’ve really ended up in me losing my deposit because I couldn’t make it in time. The staff seemed very disorganized and we’re very bad about returning calls or answering the phone even. Once they got my money all communication stopped.
So I fly in on the 6th and go straight to the office for my preop. Again very disorganized. They took me back into a tiny little office and had a totally different girl helping me. I guess Rosie who was originally helping me doesn’t work there anymore but no one bothered to tell me. So the next day was my surgery. I show up about an hour before I’m supposed to be there and they just leave me standing there in the hallway and I’m knocking at the door no one’s bothering to answer it or tell me what to do so I’m just waiting for them. Finally, they take me in and everybody seems like they’re rushing around I asked them where the surgery room is and it’s like literally a tiny little operating room inside of the building. They put me into a small room where there is a bed very low to the ground handed me a paper gown and some booties and told me to put these on. Shortly after the doctor came in. He was not polite or friendly, he did not shake my hand or anything. He just started measuring me taking pictures and I told him what I wanted. I asked him what his opinion was on how big of an implant I should get in regards to what type of look I wanted and he offered no opinion and he just said: “I don’t tell patients what to do”. But I asked him Because I wanted his expert opinion on what he thinks would look best on my body. He didn’t give me an answer so I just told him the size that I wanted and he said OK. I go to the operating table they tell me to go sit up on the table, the next thing I know I’m laying down I don’t remember anything after that. I wake up in the recovery room in horrible pain with my throat sore and my mouth tasted like chemicals, probably from the anesthesia. I’m calling out for help because I needed something to drink. Someone came over and gave me a sip of water and then they started telling me to wake up and snapping their fingers and putting rubbing alcohol on a piece of gauze and waving it in front of my face and telling me to smell the alcohol and wake up. They quickly put my shirt back on put me in a wheelchair and rushed me out of the clinic.
The next day I go to my postop appointment and they have me meet with the physician's assistant. Not the surgeon. I noticed that my left nipple looked purple. I was concerned about it and ask them what was wrong. The physician's assistant said, “nothing it’s normal you’re just healing”. She wrote me a prescription for some Nitrobid cream and told me to apply it twice a day. A couple of days went by and I look at my nipple and see that it’s black. I was freaked out so I went back into the office and had her look at it again. Again she said nothing is wrong it just needs time to heal and to keep applying the cream. I asked her over and over if it was necrosis because that’s what it looks like. I started crying and she told me “no it’s not you’re going to be fine”... Ummm no. Not buying it. So I called the office and asked for the surgeons number and they gave it to me and told me to text him. I asked him to explain what’s going on. He told me to send him pictures so I did. I told him what the physicians assistant told me and he just said yes just continue applying the cream He doesn’t have anything to say but “wait and see, nothing we can do”. I asked him if it was necrosis and he said yes that’s what it looks like. I spent the last few days crying having major anxiety attacks freaking out over this nightmare.
Thanks to the support of amazing friends I didn’t go completely insane. I went to the ER immediately after landing back in my hometown. They were so kind and straight forward with me. They took pics and sent them to my surgeon here in OR. He replied quickly and He has a plan to help fix this problem. They confirmed that the tissue was dead and it’s not coming back and it’s not gonna get better unless they do surgery to remove the dead skin. It’s been a few days and Dr. Krau nor CG cosmetic has bothered to call me and follow up and check and see how I’m doing. So, I will do everything in my power to expose them for how they treated me. CG cosmetics and both Dr. Krau are unethical, unprofessional and negligent.
