3 weeks post op

WORTH IT$5,500
So, a day after being 3 weeks post op, I developed a fever. I attributed it to the fact that I'd been out in the cold and got wet and assumed I had developed a flu or cold. I began taking Tylenol to help reduce the fever. The Tylenol helped would eventually the fever would climb back up. The next day, around 10pm, after waking up from a nap, I went to the bathroom and as I touched my underbreast are to ensure all was well, I felt a wet spot on my bra. I lifted the bra to see pus being discharged from the point where the t-incisions meets on my left breast. Pus was draining rapidly and I went to the nearest hospital where they completed a cat scan and labs and was informed that I had developed and abscess and had a white blood cell count of 28,000. I was advised that I would need surgery. I was transferred to another hospital that had Plastics department. Upon arrival at the other hospital, I was seen by the attending plastic surgeon and advised that my implant would need to be removed due to the amount of pus being discharged. At this point, my breast had been discharging pus continuously and rapidly for over 9 hours. I was able to get a hold of my surgeon, Dr Krau and advised him of the current predicament. He immediately requested information to try to better assist me and was in contact with the hospitals attending physician to try to resolve the matter in the best way possible. Unfortunately, ultimately the implant had to be removed and I will not be able to get anything else for at least 3 months. Although, I'm devastated at the turn of events, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Krau for his quick response and helpfulness during this difficult time. I would 100% recommend him as a surgeon for anyone considering undergoing surgery under his care.

Day of Surgery through Day 2 Post Op

My surgery was successfully completed on 3/13/2020. All in all, I was in an out in about 3.5-4 hours. I was discharged with a variety of medications including muscle relaxers, ocyxodone for the pain, antibiotics and zolpidem to help me sleep at night. My lift was done with an anchor lift so there was some bleeding seeping through the bra on the first day from the incisions made across the crease. The bleeding has since stopped and the pain has been kept to a minimum, mostly feel pressure due to skin stretching and the muscle being tight. Implants were placed under the pectoral muscle. I have an appointment next week to remove several stitches.

Before and Sizing

The first picture shows my breasts prior to any enhancement, simply wearing a sports bra. The other two were with saline sizers of 550CC. I liked the feel of the saline and I didn't want to go bigger because of chronic back pain.
