So things are looking better and I'm happier with results. I recently went and had suture removed from areola with a local anesthetic in Drs rooms....puckering should completely smooth now. Still a little sore in my left breast, which had implant removed and replaced and areola still tender after a further reduction was made to them both.

Hello, Did you have your 3rd and final surgery with Dr Brown?

Hi there, yes I did have my 3rd surgery with Tim Brown. I was overall very happy with his efforts to make things right for me. My experience was probably one of the worst case scenario for this surgery. In hindsight if I had to do it all again I would possibly have one procedure done at a time so as to get a more balanced look. I am generally happy with my outcome and given the opportunity would have the surgery again. Be prepared and keep in mind issues can definitely arise...good luck

3rd Surgery Update

I am currently 2 days post 3rd breast surgery to correct capsular contracture and areola reduction. I am feeling much better and confident with the outcome of this surgery. The ache and pressure from the contracture I had in left breast is gone and my nipples are looking smaller and even. The left implant (which was replaced) will take some time to drop and fall into place which should then balance with my right breast ????????....

Capsular Contraction

User Avatar

Not good news...another check up with plastic surgeon at 10 weeks post 2nd surgery and he thinks my left breast may have capsular contraction which is why it hasn't dropped. I am beyond disappointed and only another surgery can fix this problem. I am hating my results and this journey. I also feel as if my breasts may be too big and look like they are starting to sag already!! Do I go back to my surgeon for revision or start looking for another surgeon. He has told me to wait till Feb next year and see if left side drops before surgery again!!!

You poor thing.... I kind of know what you are going through although I have only had the one surgery & no revision yet & it's been 13 months for me so f constant pain & hating the way they look.... my left one is still high & it's full of cysts which are painful, I also have a couple of cysts in my right side, my nipples look terrible and are uneven & the scars are terrible ...... I need a revision but since the surgery my thyroid has gone out of control so no surgery until its controlled which isn't happening.... so I'm stuck with uneven painful itchy breasts.... I wish I never had the surgery in the first place.....

I sympathise with both of you, my surgery for breast reduction has been a nightmare!
My story is too long to tell, let’s just say that I now have one breast at least two sizes smaller than the other one, a dog ear, and one nipple higher than the other one, due to complications . Not happy with the results or the money I have spent!
I have been told by the public hospital who have taken over my aftercare that Medicare does not cover revision surgery .... so o will have to pay again if I go through another surgeon.
