Breast Lift with 460cc implant

I am 47 years old with 2 young boys 8 & 5. I'm 163cms tall (ha) and approximately 68kgs. I was at a crossroads regarding breast surgery and decided it was now or never to have my procedure. Dr Tim Brown had been recommended to my by many people and after meeting him for the first time I understand why. He was extremely professional and made me feel totally comfortable with choosing him as my surgeon at my initial appointment. The option to give best result was a breast lift combined with implant above the muscle. I could choose from 460cc or 520cc which were the most appropriate size for my frame and lifestyle. I chose the 460cc implant and am currently in recovery at home after having the procedure done 2 days ago. I stayed overnight after my procedure to be monitored carefully before being discharged. So far I am very happy with the early result and I am looking forward to seeing the ongoing progress.

Thanks for that...a little pain, not as much pain as I thought it would be....my implants are above the muscle not below which makes a difference. I am taking 1 Endone tablet per day as well as panadol for pain management. It feels a little like caesarian pain but top of torso not abdomen!! Thanks for the kind words of support.

So glad to hear there’s barely any pain. I’ve read of horror stories of pain on this site. I also thought there would be way more pain too (I’m 2 days post op). I’m having a hard time staying put and not doing anything!

So, I have added daily progress(?) Pictures of my procedure. It's good to keep a photo record of how things are going even though I don't feel like there is much change other than color...As you can see from the pictures my right breast has dropped into a good place and is filling out nicely. The left breast however is still riding high and is yet to drop. I have had my weekly check up and nurses said not to worry to much about this as once the swelling goes down and a little more healing occurs the implant will drop into place!! This is really the only frustrating thing about my recovery as I'm concerned about them looking the same. It's very early days so I'll have to remain patient and have faith in the process...

I’m not patient! Lol I feel the same way about the dropping and recovery process. Who knows if the tatas are doing what there supposed to? I read article after article to find out how to make perfectly shaped breasts... and everyone says to do it different! Today is day 6 for me and mine are going different speeds too, I don’t like the waiting game:)

So the past week or so has been a mix of emotions for me, I thought reaching the 2 week mark I'd turn a corner and start feeling better, not the case. I've been unclear with my pain meds and wasn't told to take Nurofen consistently along with Panadol which has kept inflammation going and pain. I have resorted to using Endone by the end of the day to cope with pain. Hopefully by today pain should be under control without Endone. The Drs also said I'm swelling and having pain because I'm doing too much? The recovery rules given to me were personal care only, shower, toilet and bed. So admittedly I have done a little more than this with a 5 year old and 8 year old and a husband who has 2 businesses he is running via phone while being Mr Mom (and doing a brilliant job)! I felt like I was being blamed for all the swelling and I have been told by nurse, the next 2 weeks I must rest (which is what I thought I was doing)...anyways, I will follow the regime to a T and see what happens. I am generally pleased with the results so far, but I am also over it at the same time. Just had the steri strips taken off yesterday and I'm yet to shower to remove excess blood, but will do that shortly and take some more pictures.
Congratulations and happy healing!
