Scar update, loose skin, stretch marks. Post Op breast lift

It’s been a little over 1 month since surgery. As mentioned in previous posts I started applying creams/oils etc so improve the appearance of scarring, stretch marks and boost skin elasticity. Quote from my surgeon ‘the skin that supported your breasts before surgery is the same skin that will support your breasts after surgery’- meaning because I had loss of elasticity that will not improve the skin itself. So off I went on a hunt for the best creams and oils! Now the truth is there isn’t a magic position for stretch marks, scarring and loose skin. The surgery removed excess skin but did not remove the stretch marks, additional scarring was inevitable and the skins elasticity had already been damaged. I apply bio oil, palmers firming cream and a HA cream twice a day. The results so far have been really good. But then I thought well I want just one oil/cream that I can apply that works on all problems with the skin. This is where retinol comes in. I did some googling and ordered from a brand called Paula’s Choice. It arrived today so I will start with that tonight and post an update in a couple of weeks. This is how my breasts look now. I’m really happy with the surgery, but there’s no harm in trying to ensure the results are long lasting.

3.5 weeks post op breast lift

So I’m now just over 3 weeks post op. My breasts just feel like normal breasts. I was advised swelling could take a couple of months to subside (I’m not an expert) but by look and touch I would guess all swelling has gone. The left breast has a tiny bit of swelling at the vertical incision line but apart from that they have softened everywhere else. The scarring is looking so good too, I’m actually really impressed as I expected them to be much worse at this stage. I started using bio oil and palmers body butter around a week ago all over breasts including incision sights as they had fully sealed. I went back to work and the gym last week to. I normally lift quite heavy in the gym so it’s been a struggle to only do body weight exercises at the moment. Although I do feel ‘fully healed’, I know there will still be some internal healing that I can’t see so I am conscious of that and taking care still not to do too much even though I feel able to. But anyway, everything is back to normal, I feel back to normal, swelling has gone and scarring is looking good. It’s truly amazing how the body heals. My only gripe is (sorry we are never 100% happy), the stretch marks on the upper pole. They was once ‘hidden’ I think, so have always been there but now with lifted breasts they are more noticeable. Apart from that, they are just natural/‘normal’ looking breasts to me. No they aren’t super round at the top, so if that’s what you want maybe implants are for you but if you just want a natural lift the chances are you wouldn’t need implants so don’t be fooled into believing you do! Obviously depending on your personal expectations.
Attached are pictures from left breast (scarring isn’t as good as right so wanted to show the ‘worst side) and side view so you can see where the new breast fold is to show the lift.

12 days post op scar pictures

Kinda nervous about sharing this, but I know this will help others in making a decision that will change their life. Sharing photos on my scars 12 days post op. I’m quite impressed with how well they’re healing. I’m nervous about the final result because as they are now is just how I would like them to stay but apparently swelling can still be present for 6-12 weeks. The yellow colour is iodine (antiseptic) I’ve been applying twice daily. You can see stretch marks on the upper part which I have just started treating so hopefully they will improve. the wrinkly is from stitches, dressings and wraps and should settle in the next few weeks.
