4.5 months post op!

WORTH IT
Time sure does help heal....and fly by! I had my 3 month post op a month and a half ago and thankfully my PS is pleased with healing to date. I did mention that I still have one stubborn mondors cord remaining left armpit area but it does not hurt and my range of motion is pretty much at baseline. The left boob is still sitting a little higher than my right, and my right boob is still my favorite in terms of shape. BUT I always was smaller and less full on my left anyway. I notice it, but, my husband does not lol! Overall, I am extremely satisfied with how they are turning out....I welcome the left to drop more but I think gravity will take care of that down the line? I stopped using scar treatment regularly, more due to the cost and I really didn't see much improvement...they are lightening though and my husband is not phased by them one bit lol! Just last week I did have a red angry spot on my right areola scar..I think a stich was poking through. I washed it hibiclens twice a day and put antibiotic ointment on it for 5 days and it is fading.
I am so happy to be sleeping well again on my side and although I used to sleep on my stomach quite a bit I don't anymore because it feels strange...not painful, but awkward a bit.
I just started working out my chest (isolated chest) last week...I do admit it does feel weird....I am starting light and may stay light the rest of the year. It is amazing how often our chest muscles are engaged though...in everyday life. It is not painful to flex but I can feel the muscles and see my boobs flex. My old boobs were saggy so they didn't lift up when I'd flex. Lol!
Well overall I am very happy with my results!
My family who live out of state did not even notice i had the augmentation!!! Which is exactly what I wanted...I wasn't in a bikini though and they probably would have noticed then lol!
I will post a 6 month update...
Hope it helps..any questions just ask! I have been back to hectic life so haven't been on the forum in a while but I will keep updating!

You look amazing!! Can I ask what products you used for scar treatment/prevention? I have my surgery scheduled in a couple weeks and I'm getting antsy! Thank you in advance and happy healing!
Thank you so much! I used "Scar away" brand silicone. The tube with the little roller ball applicator. I did use it twice a day. I tried the strips for about 2 weeks but it was tedious cutting them to fit and then they would bunch up in the under boob where I needed it most. And costly as I never got the 7 to 10 day use out them. I used bio oil too occasionally not on my incisions but on the surrounding skin because it became dry and tight and I was afraid of getting stretch marks. Congrats on your upcoming surgery! I understand the antsy feeling lol!

7 week post op

Finally feeling better about everything! I am still sleeping on my back as it is uncomfortable on my side. Sleeping has been the most frustrating thing as I was always a side or stomach sleeper. But after week 4 I have returned to my bed instead of the recliner chair. I started using silicone scar treatment at week 6 as I still had some little scattered scabs. The mondors cords are way less painful and my range of motion is WAY better. I had 2 rounds of steroid injections to the cords to help. I feel it did help the swelling and after about 2 weeks after the first injections, the pain was improved. They are still there though but should resolve per my PS.
I still wear post surgical bras and have gone down in size now that most of the swelling is down. I have been doing stretching and massages as instructed by my PS.
I am sitting a little high , a little more on my left side but they have dropped since surgery. I struggle with finding the "perfect" bra...I want gravity to do its thing but at the same time protect my scars from downward pressure.
I have not been measured yet to see what size I am, but the "shefit " bra that seems to fit best right now is a medium. I ordered it off Amazon.
The nerve pain is so much better as of week 6. The hypersensitive left nipple is sooo much better. The right nipple is still dull but that is ok...they both "constrict" for lack of a better term appropriately in response to cold and touch so that is awesome is what I feared I would lose.
Overall things are improving and if you asked me a few weeks ago if I would I would do this this again I would have said NO. I often had moments of regret. Now I am in a better head space and just feeling way better physically and emotionally.
I will update shdn I hit my 3 month mark. Thank u to all you of your reviews in RS world as it has helped me get thru this recovery process.

3 weeks post op

Just some more pics at 3 wks post op, still trying to Navigate this review process....I have been working on stretches (arms stretched above head and ROM for mondors) feels like a tight cord opposing my upward and outward arm movements. Painful. Week one was the worst. Week 3 and I am making progress but can't wear tanks because armpits are swollen and it looks noticeable. Shaving them fully is impossible as I can't get them flat enough to shave. So t-shirts are looking boxy and I feel like a line backer lol! Praying for the drop and fluff to grace me lol! I have just been a real home body as a result...not excited yet to shop for bras or bikinis ...once the shape and discomfort improves i will be more excited I'm sure. I feel like I am on RS now more then pre op even trying to see other healing experiences....it is hard to compare as everyone heals differently but i am glad this forum exists as it has been so helpful. I will update again after my 3 week post op tomorrow.
