32F/5'8/160 lbs 2 Kids Breast Augmentation with Lift - Post Reduction

6 Months Post Op

So we are 6 months out now. I have a revision scheduled for 3 weeks from now.
Starting with the left breast-It probably should have had a full lift. The implant has fallen over to the left side and the breast is much bigger than the other. It's difficult to wear a bra because the size is so drastically different. I pretty much wear a sleep bra when I can get away with it.

The right breast-I feel like the implant is too high. The shape of the breast is odd because of this. It is not round-as you can see in the photo. My physician does not think it needs to be released during the revision. I'm still on the fence-I'm not sure if he thinks it will fall later or if this is the end result. He did mention that they could continue to change up to a year out.

Overall I am happy with the reconstruction and they are 100% better than what they were-even with the issues I am having.

I will update again after the revision.

edit: I am having trouble uploading a photo. I will try again later.

Hi! Thank You for continuing to update. I know you must be looking forward to your revision. Revisions are pretty common with breast surgery. I had one too....right before my 6 month mark. My PS had to release the muscle for my left implant to drop. We waited, and waited for it to drop...but it was apparent it wasnt going to. I was told that it can take up to a year for the breasts to fully heal also. Im glad you are happy overall. Looking forward to continue following your results. Take care, and Happy Healing!
Thanks for the response. My surgeon thinks the right implant doesn't need to be released. Two surgeons on here say that it might have a contracture, but it's not hard. I'm not sure how there can be so many opinions on how to move forward from here. It's frustrating. Thanks for the support!
Wishing you the best with your upcoming revision!

11 Weeks Post Op and Revision Will Happen!

So, its been a while since I posted. I had a lot of issues after surgery. I think I had the boobie blues for sure for a while. Thankfully my husband was crazy supportive and gave me nothing but positive feedback while I cried on his shoulder.

My right breast was the problem child, but now it has ended up being mostly the good boob. With the exception of a scar that has stretched on my right boob, it's basically pain free. It's high riding still. I don't have much hope that it will fall completely on it's own, but I have read stories where they have. So we will see.

My left breast has become the problem child. The implant has moved way over to the left and there is much skin to be removed from the middle of my chest and below the implant. I love the feel of this breast, it feels natural and very nice. It does not fit into any bra so I always have some bulging out. I have a numbing painful area at the top left quadrant of this breast. It's an odd pain and mostly only there when I touch or rub that area.

Overall I am happy, but I know I need a revision to fix the left breast. The left nipple will need to be raised and some of that skin removed. I'm thankful for the surgery, I feel so much better about myself in my clothes and my husband frequently does a double take! :)

Hi, thanks for sharing your story. Sorry to hear about your boobie blues and the issues you're experiencing; however it's good that your PS already has a plan set to fix your issues. FYI, revisions with this type of surgery are quite common, so don't feel alone here. Just curious is the pain on your left side fairly recent. It could just be nerves waking back up. Wishing you the best.

3 weeks post op

I'm finally feeling normal again. I can do most movements that I need to for daily activities besides picking up the kids. Work is exhausting for me because there is a lot of reaching and putting on my protective equipment (I am a chemo nurse). The muscles in my chest and arms are sore after work.

I've started walking an hour each day. Mostly on the treadmill but some around the neighborhood also.

My right implant is still high. It's frustrating to say the least. I still wear the band. I'm happy with the look of my left breast. The incisions are doing good but still have glue on them and the right breast still has a little bit of the clear dressing on it.

I have been putting bandaids on my nipples since I can't wear a bra. The other day I had a reaction to the bandaid and it pulled the skin off the right breast a little bit. I have ordered some nipple covers since I dont think i will be wearing a bra anytime soon. I'm still wearing the band 23 hours a day, unless I am at work.
