Almost 2 years - regret more than ever

$8,500
I wish I had left my body alone. I feel stuck with this stuff in my chest and the expense of getting them out seems so extravagant—I could have bought a used car or paid half my kid’s prepaid tuition—but no—elective surgery swallowed up so much money and time and health. Gearing up the courage to remove them. They are fake looking and embarrassing anyway!

Hello. I'm scheduled for same as you on December 12th. I admit it's hard to get a proper appreciation of your results from a picture but your breasts look very nice to me. But it would be very helpful to me to get more information on your experience as I have been growing worried.

1) Has your health returned to what it was pre op?

2) What don't you like about your breasts 2yrs post op?

3) Which area you are in and/or which surgeon you went to?

Thank you in advance for your response.
:)
Sorry, see comment above
There are holistic plastic surgeons that can work wonders without implants! I wish I had known this! Check out aqua plastic surgery in miami as an example. I am thinking of choosing them for my explant. I was worried like you— and it didn’t get better. Some people are hung ho and super excited. If that is not the feeling you’re having, I would rethink. It’s not an easy fix.
Never as fit as pre-op again. Can’t sleep well, still. Keep in mind you will be stuck with these bags in your chest at all hours, and only another surgery and another $10000 will change that. It’s not my surgeon’s fault, tho the surgeon ultimately chooses your implant and my surgeon chose larger than I specified. This was just never for me. I would suggest joining some breast implant illness groups on Facebook before you move forward to make sure you’re ready for all possible outcomes.

Thank you for your recommendation. Will do so!
Oh! And about the breasts, they look very fake, even tho they’re not huge, in photos they have a weird shine and rise too high on my chest. They always look unnatural and I find it embarrassing bc I hate the fake look and announcing to the world that I had breast implants every time I go out. I also find they make me look heavier! I wish I had just bought better bras and left my body alone. I would have been a better role model to my kids in that scenario too!

Resting heart rate up more than 10 BPM in 2 wks

Would love to hear if anyone else has experienced this. The doctors I have seen have never heard of someone going through what I am experiencing. My heart rate was very slow 2 weeks ago (average 50-60 while sitting) as I am a near daily runner and now it will be going nearly 80 when I am just sitting still.

Are you feeling any better about things? How’s your heart rate?
Hey thanks! My heart rate went down and is up again. I am definitely feeling better about things but would not have done the surgery in retrospect. They look ok and all but it is not worth the risk IMO. Cardiologist didn’t find anything too alarming when I wore a monitor for 24 hrs, but they really didn’t take my presurgical baseline into account. Still staying away from caffeine and getting blood work done this week.
Hope things have gotten better for you!
Thank you! Almost 2 years later and I want them out more than ever. This just wasn’t the right choice for me. Looking forward to being comfortable in my own skin again.

Two weeks, heart palpitations

Hi, as I said in another comment I have been more susceptible to caffeine after the surgery. Today I had one cup of coffee and had my heart shoot up to 135 while driving my kids to school. (My resting heart rate is normally about 55). My heart rate in general has been 10-20 beats per minute higher since the surgery. Part of that is sudden cessation of exercise I am sure, but I went to a cardiologist today and she did find an arrhythmia. It doesn’t seem to make sense that implants themselves could cause a heart arrhythmia, but I know I was healthy as a horse before the surgery. I am going to get a heart rate monitor for 24 hrs next week so they can learn more about what is going on. I will be avoiding caffeine in the meantime, but even many hours after coffee I have been noticing my heart rate surge out of nowhere. It is exacerbated by anxiety and stress. I deeply regret taking my health for granted and undergoing an unnecessary surgery, and if I could turn back the clock I would.
