Surgery Day

WORTH IT$7,200
32aa (preop) with 375cc uhp silicone under muscle.
So today I had gone in for my surgery wearing a comfy jogging suit- loose fitting pants with zippered jacket (a great suggestion.) The procedure itself was only about an hour. I went in at 8:45am, after getting situated and after my surgeon finished with his previous patient I was out and on the road by noon. It’s now been 6 hours and I’m not really feeling too much pain or discomfort as I thought I may. I’ve been taking it easy. With some orange juice, I took some ibuprofen and an antibiotic and then took a nap. After my nap I ate a protein bar, I decided to take a half pain pill that was subscribed to me (I’m no a big fan of pain medication containing narcotic, hence reason for taking ibuprofen so I can alternate.) I’m not trying to do too much with my arms. So spending time with God and allowing the healing to take place. I took off until next week Wednesday from work, if I’m feeling ok to return sooner I will. :)

I have my appt for surgery scheduled with him for sept 21st I'm super nervous especially about the anesthesia and also afraid they will end up to big I still have not decided on saline or silicone and i only have until friday to make my decision I've read so much and it's just a hard choice because theres pros and cons to both I want silicone for the more real feeling and because there lighter bit I'm afraid about them rupturing and me not knowing it or getting BII from them so I was leaning towards saline so I know if they ruptured and seems like they have less complications then silicone so it's a tuff choice for me! Can I ask what swaed you to chose silicone?

Feeling more pressure today since the anesthesia has worn off. Still manageable very swollen. Taking it easy. Alternating using ibuprofen and pain meds prescribed. Using cold compress for swelling 20 min per hour as needed. Lightly massaging. Excited to see my results!

So yesterday (day 4) I was hoping to see some results starting to show and I really hadn’t... still much swelling and sitting high. Today I decided to take a shower and wash my hair and do my makeup and put on a different support bra than the surgical one I had been wearing and I’m finally feeling much more confident in my results starting to form. I know I’m still having some swelling and sitting high and will be like that for some time as they start to sit in the position they will be in over the next few weeks but I am feeling much better today. Also I stopped the pain med prescribed to me on day 3 and only taking ibuprofen and my antibiotics currently. I was planning on returning to work and feel capable today however due to car repairs needing to be done I’m holding off and still taking it rather easy.

They turned out great! Highly recommend. It was a tough choice between him and dr Gray.

Its a good thing you didn't have Dr. Gray do it. An acquaintance of mine referred me to him (her husband is a friend of his), and I did a ton of research on him and.... first, hes not even a plastic surgeon, and so hes not board certified. He is a DO. Any doc can do plastic surgery but we want one trained in actual plastic surgery. Lol. Secondly, he has A LOT of bad reviews and the good ones can't be trusted because they pay patients for good reviews (in the form of $250 gift certs to their beauty center). He left a sponge in the woman that I mentioned, but they didn't take action b.c of being friends, and Dr. Gray gave them over ten grand in free (whatever she wanted). He has some good results but just looking at his page it's kind of obvious that he thinks his $#!+ doesn't stink. He says hes one of the best plastic surgeons in the country.... except he isn't even a plastic surgeon. Lol. Smh. I'd say you dodged a bullet there. But it explains why hes so cheap. That part is hard because I myself am trying to save what I can but at the same time, we have to do this right because in the end a botched job (though cheaper) will cost us so much more!
So speaking of price, would you say Dr. Rifai is affordable? Thanks again for your updates!!

I haven’t heard any negative reviews from anyone I’ve met that went through Dr Gray for their surgery. I’ve only heard of good things. I’m not sure if Dr Rifai Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery still has their Groupon but I had $2500 off of my silicone breast implants. So yes, it brought he price down and great quality work.

Yeah I checked and he is on Groupon! That's amazing, I had no idea there were coupons available. With Dr. G, my friend was happy and she looks good. I'd just worry about me being the unlucky one. Bad reviews I saw on google and yelp. I thought about it hard though, b.c even though hes not board certified, he has been doing this awhile. More of the breasts on his website than i feel comfortable with look kind of crooked though. I think its because he does the belly button scarless thing.

If you dont mind my asking, is that what you paid (at the top of your review) after applying the groupon discount?

That is the price prior. I believe their price is $7250 I paid $4750 after the$200 for the Groupon

That's not bad! I can swing that if I can talk my husband into it. Lol. Hes a penny pincher like a [RS bleep]. I've been wanting this forever though and this year I decided I'm going to make it happen. I'm hoping by summer. Idk when the coupon is expiring but it says it's good for 120 days after purchase. I emailed your PS about a consultation so hoping to go see him soon. Did u meet with him or an assistant for the consult?
Thanks again for answering all my questions. I appreciate it so much. This doc doesn't have a lot of reviews that I can find, but what I have found was all good ones.
